I think using "Found Family" to describe some high school friends hanging out together while in their early twenties is an over extended reading of the concept.
I'm willing to accept that criticism of Tara/Amber. "Once More with Feeling" is very much Dr. Johnson's proverbial dog walking on it's hind legs, it's not so much that it's done well, but that it done at all.

I also dislike the relationship, but even if Buffy was not the Slayer, she is still old enough to, you know, die for her country. (And she is over the age of consent in most of the world.) "Hey, it is perfectly okay if you are killed. But have sex? No, that is wrong."
I find a lot of the age restrictions utterly ludicrous. The idea that you can be judged to be mature enough to make a literally life or death decision that will affect the rest of your life yet not mature enough to vote, drink, smoke or have sex is wrong. If you are old enough to join a country's military, you should be old enough to do anything.

I think Andrew is very overrated.
And I think the friendship between Tara and Buffy seems to be hyped up into something it really isn't. They had a bonding moment when Joyce died - because Buffy could now relate to Tara over the loss of a parent.
In s6 when she cried to her about the whole Spike saga - it's because Tara was on the outskirts and not really inside the inner Scooby circle. It's because of the fact they're not close Buffy can speak to her. It continues the pattern where Buffy couldn't actually talk to those closest to her (and she certainly couldn't talk to Willow about magic and spells).
And then Tara told Willow about them sleeping together, when Buffy asked her not to tell anyone. Doesn't matter if Willow suspected it, it wasn't Tara's place.
