Can I change my username?
Yes, as long as no one else is using the name. (Please search the member list before contacting a head mod.) Username changes are available by private messaging a head moderator. (Please search the member list to make sure the name is not being used before contacting a head mod.)
I have two accounts, can they be merged?
Yes, please notify an admin with the two usernames on the accounts and we can merge them. Anyone who voluntarily admits to having more than one account will not be punished for it; people who try to hide multiple accounts, however, will face punishment.
Why can't I edit my posts?
You can only edit posts for 1 hour so that threads continue to make sense. If you need to edit a post after the time limit, please pm a moderator with the change and a link to the post and they will gladly make it for you.
Why was my thread closed?
Threads are closed when they reach 100 posts because of a glitch that has caused very large threads to disappear in the past. Though this may or may not be a problem any longer, we feel that it is better safe than sorry. In addition, it just keeps the discussions more organized and focused as there are not 20 pages of a thread for new people to read through. (Game threads and many Off Topic threads are closed at 200 posts.)
How do I add a comment to the bottom of someone's post?
This is the post comment, karma or reputation feature of the board.
1. To give karma, look at the bottom of a person's post, on the right hand side, to the left of the "Like" button. You will a link to "Karma".
2. Click on the link, and a box will pop up that allows you to type in your comment.
3. Click on "Post Comment".
How do I change my skin/board color scheme?
You have two options:
1.) Go to Your Account > Preferences. You will see a dropdown for Styles at the top.
2.) Click on the link at the bottom left side of the page with your current style name on it. This will open an overlay where you will be able to choose from the available styles.
What does it mean when it says "Whedonverse VIP" under someone's username?
These are special guests of the board who have helped create some aspect of the Whedonverse. These people have been verified by the staff to "really" be who they say they are.
