Spent the day fixing fences. I watched the three year old snap the wire as we were fixing the 7 year olds fence. There isnt even anything better on the other side! They are just bored and making their own fun, playing with danger. Bloody 3 year old put her hoof on the wire, and dangled her leg back and forth until it snapped. Cheeky. I am even wary of the electric, my brain thinks it is on despite knowing there is not an electric unit attached, theses horses figured out it wasnt on and started snapping wire for fun. The foals are going to have ZERO respect for wire the way they scratch their necks on it. Its shitshow up there. All black sand and poop. I want to plant grass and fence it properly. I should check if I won lotto tonight.

Went to the pub earlier and was accidently rude. Seems they havent had a roll over of customers, but I guess that takes time. The last owners were there 17 years, and it was only after covid that they started to slow down. Once I grow some limes I will go see if they want them. The limes are still a bit small at this stage.

Maybe cheekiness is in the air, the rabbit is being supremely cheeky as well. She has figured out she can fit behind the fridge. Im glad she cant escape her new set up!
 
I bought another Barbie on Amazon, an Asian one. Couldn't help myself, she's soooo cute. I now have approximately 74 dolls, which is nothing compared to some of the real collectors I've seen on Instagram. One lady has over 1300!! And she has ALL of them displayed in her house, they're everywhere. The mere thought of having that many dolls creeps me out. That's too many to take care of! Because it's not just about owning dolls, you have to shampoo their hair, bathe them, and wash their outfits at least once every two months. In other words, I am their servant. 😄

Had a good day until I went out for a walk this evening. Google weather promised no rain for that hour, but at about the farthest point of my walk, of course, the heavens opened. I was drenched through three layers and, worst of all, my favorite "lifetime guarantee" "unbreakable" umbrella broke. Of course their website wants a photo of the receipt, which I don't have after some years. Ah well, it served me well.⛈️🌬️☔

Always the way!
Maccas run. Picture perfect drive to the coast, the thunderstorm clouds make it all look so magical. It literally only dumped rain on one town and left everywhere else dry. Funny how precise it was - the road was wet at the change in speed sign and dry once it went back to 110 on the highway. I was hoping to be rained on to rinse my car off, but no luck! At least I have a full tank of petrol now. The pumps in town are often broken and haven't been working all week. It was a quick drive, it takes so much less time and effort when I don't have to go grocery shopping too while I am down there. It all seemed very quiet, all the tourists are gone and school back, I had no lines, traffic or parking issues. Had to get bunny hay and dog biscuits and drop into the vet. All done within 30 mins and turned around to drive the hour home again. Vegemite shaker fries are great!

The poodle is acting like I have been gone for weeks. If shes not smooshing my face with her own, shes smacking me with her toys, or sleeping on my chest. The blonde dog is green because she rolled on the shire lawn immediately after they mowed it. A cute look for her, I'm glad she is not allergic!
 
Between the star deaths & the gloomy weather, feeling melancholy. Also just found out that co-worker has some form of dementia. We both been there for like 10 years. They're a good peep! Has given me rides when I been without a car. They've been on leave for a month which may become permanent. ☹️
 
My second shingles shot (say that 10 times fast!) turned out far more mild than the first. I had heard it could make you pretty sick, but I just have the usual arm pain.

Trying to cheer my dad up about his impending cataract surgery. It's been an ongoing stress.

Beautiful day today, though, with a high of 63. Daffodils and rhododendrons are coming out.
 
I'm thinking of buying an air fryer and a toaster. But what I REALLY need is a new temperature knob for the oven. The temperatures have worn off the present one, so baking is a guessing game. Unfortunately, I've had a difficult time finding a knob that fits my oven. Oh well.

See if you can find an ad with the image of the oven on it. It may give you the information you need. If not an ad, an eBay listing would be just as good.

That should be easy to obtain. You have to order it by the make and model #. On most stand alone units the model # tag is located on frame (leg) behind where the lower drawer opens. If you can give me that info I can look it up and get you the correct part number to order. How old is the oven, approx.?
 
Been busy with the horses all weekend. Those little yearlings are big ponies now, all off to the sales this weekend. Im watching the auction online and the fillies are selling but the colts were passed in. Hopefully he can find a buyer rather than travel them back down here from the city again. Its so hot and dusty up at the paddocks, it would be nice for them to get a rest.

Im happy to be getting a rest this arvo! Its hot and sunny and I love being under the air con with netflix and puppy cuddles. I have eaten far too much food all weekend, but I guess I have been working it off as well. Back on the behaving train this week, although its a long weekend so technically the week doesnt start til Tuesday 😀
 
It's so windy, my front door blew wide open. I was just sitting here drinking coffee and minding my business. Oh yeah, and I only had underwear on. Hey, I didn't want to spill coffee on my new nightgown!

Naturally, there JUST HAPPENED to be a guy walking his dogs by my place. And they chose to play on my lawn for awhile. Their owner watched them frolic....then suddenly looked up for some reason. And yes, he saw me. A moment frozen in time. Actually about 10 moments! What can I say? I've got perfect breasts. 😁
 
Our "false spring" is over for now, but the weather wasn't too bad. I went to the zoo and saw a kookaburra bird, which led to singing along with a stranger that old song we all used to learn in elementary school, "Kookaburra sits in an old gum tree...." Now you may have it stick in your head, too; you're welcome!😈

I bet thats why they laugh at me in the garden cos I mock their fire pants. I like them, they eat snakes.

I did go out to give the horses hay today. Poor buggers on that black sand, its awful on a hot day like today. Then spent the rest of the arvo sitting under the air con watching 90 day fiance. I tried to do craft but hands did not co-operate so gave up on that and ate snacks instead.

There was a kookaburra on the wire over my garden today. I told the dogs not to woof at it! Its my guard bird against snakes.

Too hot today to do anything. Tomorrow will be hot too. I ran up the road this morning to tell the horse people that I am not going to go out to the horses til next week, and not to worry if they dont see me.

I dont want to have a bad migraine, its very manageable for now. I thought maybe it wasn't even a migraine but when i looked in the mirror, my pupils were different sizes, which is a symptom for me. So a quiet few days ahead. My legs are killing me too, but I dont want to lose any muscle, so might at least try the rowing machine for a little bit.

But now I miss the horses, my days dont seem complete! And Im not sleepy at all cos all I did was early morning walkies with the dogs, cleaning and eating. Even they didnt want to be outside this afternoon. Clever puppies.
 
My brothers went to their friend 's funeral today so we learnt that the cause of his death wasn't a crash but suicide. Their deceased friend sent phone messages to multiple people of his loved ones to say goodbye (he did try to call my bro but couldn't reach him). And then apparently he threw himself from a bridge, fell on highway road & got hit by a truck that passed by. The truck must have been horrified.

We never know what's going people's head. He had a girlfriend, work, home, family & friends. Though that's true, the following day I learnt his death I had a peak on his facebook info. Months earlier he posted 2 messages that seemed quite pessimist about love, marriage, life but still...

Perfect Sunday 😀
Walkies wasn't great with a big brindle dog on the loose at the park, so I took mine up the train line instead which is a shorter walk. So the dogs have been full of beans, playful all day. They were good napping through my meeting and staying out from under my feet while I cleaned the house. We shared chips and cheese for lunch and then had an afternoon nap. I cleaned and rearranged the bunny pen, so shes happy too. I did a little water change for the pond and pulled out the dead lily leaves. The fish are quiet because its very suddenly cool and misty rain today. Not enough for drip buckets. The dogs got lots of time to run around the yard, avoiding the wet grass that I have so carefully nursed through summer for them!

Now winding down, watching the news. Dinner soon and then Survivor AU 😀
