And now for the new guy to annoy everybody by playing catch-up. Sorry, in advance. I am not a taciturn man.
They misspoke. They meant to say "this is the fraud activation team."
Have you heard about the AI tests they did where the programs were told that a single team member was going to shut them down, and then simulated the team member being trapped in an elevator, waiting for medical services? Something like 34% of the time, the AI programs canceled the call to emergency services, choosing to allow the individual to die in order to preserve their own existence. Talk about worrying.
As a fellow writer, I relate to this. I'm either working on four projects at once or staring at a blank screen for weeks with nothing to say. I sometimes wonder what I've done to upset my muse. She ghosts me all the time. You'd think I asked her out or something.
😛
I feel this way all the time when I go back and watch old shows. I used to be a young whipper-snapper (that's still something we say, right?), watching all these adults, and now many of the adults in the shows are younger than me. Yikes. The end is near. I'm coming, Elizabeth!
Hey. I think I saw that smiley at my therapist's office. Keep an eye on him.
😛
I think electronics have been sentient for years, and they're just messing with us. My computer often starts working when I threaten it. And I don't believe this "robots can't click boxes" propaganda for one second.
I vote yes, be relieved. But I can't stand prawns. Or shrimp, as we call them in the States, like big bullies. It's not their fault they're so small.
I like to listen to falling rain. You know, as opposed to that rain that stands still. I think if it isn't moving, it's not rain anymore. It's just water. Anyway, getting back on track, I've always found it soothing. And speaking of tracks, I've always found the rhythmic clacking of trains pretty calming as well.
As a man, I have to admit, I'm firmly against this. Uh. No pun intended. Though, on the other hand ...
I just really like girls.
What is bone-in couch? I'm suddenly very concerned that my couch might be a mimic.
I feel that. I was having issues once, and I delayed going to the doctor for three months because of my social anxiety. Which was not the smartest thing in the world. But at least I went in eventually. It turned out to be a hernia. That could have gone badly without intervention. Which only took about a year after I got seen by the doctor. I love the medical system, don't you?
Did you eventually get that taken care of, Anyanka? Or Anya? Or Bunny Slayer? Let me know. I'd hate to call you the wrong thing and end up on the wrong side of a vengeance spell. I have enough problems.
Cleaning robots? Like Rosie? Please, get that reference. I don't need to feel anymore like a dinosaur today than I already do.
😛
I could use a robot for cleaning. And for nothing else. What do you think I am, some kind of weirdo loser? Heh. Not me. Move along.
😛
Were there any Alliance friendly bars?
😉
I'm not sure if you should be relieved that they didn't get into your truck or annoyed that they were so incompetent that they messed up your door in the attempt. I'm conflicted.
Ah, a fellow potato connoisseur. Would you like a nice bag of Lays? June was a very good month.
😛
I'm new here, and we've barely talked, so I'm not sure how serious that is, but I'll respond anyway. If I'm being an idiot, just let me know. You'll be in good company. Everyone does. It's not that you don't deserve things. If you're not as good at things, it just means you don't know how to get the things. It doesn't mean you don't deserve them. And the way of the world, in my experience, is (to paraphrase Victor) "mostly crap."
My e-mail keeps sending me breast enhancement offers, which I find weird. And worrisome. And possibly insulting. Horses are good, though. Horses never did anything wrong to me. Well, except that time I rode one at camp and it wouldn't listen to me, going off the path and walking my face through a bunch of branches. Still, he could have run my face into the branches, so there was that.
