I'm sure someone can make this look more official..... 😉

A deadly, mind-altering virus is unleashed on a college campus. A team of Actives are sent in, but this drug causes the imprints in Echo and others to malfunction; they start to remember the things they've been wiped of. The only question is "” will they be able to accomplish their mission before it's too late?

Okay....by far the most amusing episode to date....I love that we get to find out a little bit more about Caroline as a person, fill in the backstory a bit more of how she came to be where she is and stuff. Rossum is clearly Senior Partner-ish if we're trying to follow the same sort of format of Angel. But I was saying the whole crazyness did remind me a lot of the episode "Billy", only funnier.

Dominic! Sooo effin funny. Oh! And Adelle and Topher's interaction under the influence. I would have liked to see more Victor and Sierra interaction in their personas....you know, kinda like a transferrence thingy. But that would probably add too much to the story.

LURVED IT!

I'm fine!!! I know how to solve problems! (sw)

Muahaha that's peer pressure for you 😀 It looks good!!

I loved this episode!! Joss is seriously amazing, i love it how he plays with the viewers heads all the time...great stuff 😀

Definately one of my favourite episodes so far, fav quote. "I could eat that word, or a chip..oooh have you got chips?" hehe

Oh! I am very Brittish....I don't say hard R's! ;)
Topher and Adelle were the best part of the episode! I've kinda been missing Alpha though.

Oh and I can't stop thinking that it's not as good as Buffy! /me slaps silly self

Got some Band candy vibes with everyone acting out of character but even with the humour more serious of course. Nice episode and now on to more backstories as promised (or have I imagined that?) which is interesting but not (for me) the best parts but necessary to get the whole picture. Best parts, Adelle and Topher and Dominic begging for forgivness (silly but I still like it). For some reason I got the "bad guy" pretty fast.

I'm not loving it as much as Buffy yet but isn't gonna slap me. 😉 Took me a while to fall completely in love with Buffy so I have patience. But don't get me wrong, I do like it. I'm just not over the moon yet, even if I get closer by every episode. 😉

The best episode so far! I loved every minuet of it!.
I loved how funny the episode was "this gun is so heavy" and "i'm sorry for the whole trying to burn you alive thing" "soft like a kitty" and many, many more!. I especially loved that thing that went on between Victor and Sierra, that was really cool!. 😀
Plus we got a bit of Caroline's history! finally!! and getting to see how they pick a new active was interesting, they clearly go for people that have done bad things.

But yeah I loved it,had a right old laugh 😀

We sure gets more and more laughs for each episode at the moment. 🙂
Loved that Topher made the Dolls have higher ranking than than the Dollhouse people.

Interesting to see some of the Caroline backstory.
Still feel that we didn't get to see the whole story on why Caroline felt forced to sign up though.

Also a bit puzzled on why Mellie left.
Thought that they used her to keep an eye on Ballard. Perhaps they don't have that much control over her when she's not activated.
Or... they might have some smart plan that I don't get. I admit that there is a lot with the whole Dollhouse keeping an eye on Ballard story that I don't understand.

/SK

I've got all the same questions you do, I find that i'm okay with watching it all unfold in front of me without analyzing too much.
Loved this episode. The quality of the episodes has definitely been improving steadily. The best thing was obviously Topher and DeWitt. But apart from that Mr Dominic was also hilarious. Too bad Mellie and Paul are "breaking up". I wonder if November's coming back into the Dollhouse. And also, if we're going to see more of the new active.

It's great to learn more about Echo/Catherine's backstory. I love that she's an animal right activist! Even though Eliza's views on animal rights are less than great.

This was AWESOME!

It was a great mix of everything and most of my favorite scenes where either with Adelle & Topher or the flashbacks (Didn't you just love that new effect)

I just saw the promo for next week and I love it so I cant wait.

Best epy to date, i loved it. And victor was so cool, i was great. and i loved it when boyd was playing the piano for no reason.

and i find it highly entertaining that Caroline was a animal rights activist since PETA was giving her so much crap because she hunts. though PETA should note, hunting animals is far more ethical that factory farming. um..sorry back on topic

I loved Adelle when she said something along the line of "She went back there to let Caroline Punish me."

And when Echo just left that guy tied up.....i wonder how her got out.....

Lol espcially when Adelle and Topher are touched by his music.
Best part of the episode was with Guy at the end and Adelle and becoming an Active.

The other bits were very funny, though. Some things were completely implausible... vital information left unguarded on a lit computer screen on a college campus? Campus security with guns? Etc.? Not buying it.

Also, some things that *are* tested on animals are tested for *good* things and it's not always bad and/or harmful to the animals. Just, for the record. 😛

I found Caroline to be a little... weird, in a way. "I stared at it for 2 hours before noticing..." (which reminds me... two students randomly lift a grate and climb down into the sewers in full view of the rest of the campus and no one bats an eye?) However, I guess I could attribute it to her being stoned and drunk as a college kid, which I do not in anyway doubt was the case.

Some random thoughts from me. *pokes scobro and makes him come talk*

I loved it. 🙂 I wasn't really paying all that much attention at first but I ended up closing all my other windows just to watch it uber-closely. It was the best episode so far; amazing. 🙂

I liked this episode a lot...I thought it was hyped up in the preview though, and I was a little disappointed. I had been expecting more of the Actives' responses to the drug, and we got very little of that. I definitely wanted to see more Actives remembering more things.

I did like Topher and Adelle's interaction though..quite amusing. Adelle reminded me a lot of drunk Giles in this ep, actually. And Dominic was great too. (I wonder if he actually feels remorse about trying to kill Echo, or if that was just the drug..? He didn't outright tell Adelle that Echo should go to the Attic, so that's something..)

I also liked seeing more of Caroline's past. I always felt as though she'd been forced into joining the Dollhouse. I would have liked a tad bit more mystery, though..we were bombarded with all the facts in this episode. It would have been nice to sprinkle them throughout the previous and future episodes, and then we could have had more Actives-responding-to-the-drugs in this one.
Also, this girl's gonna have some serious issues if/when she starts remembering everything she's been wiped from...not only all the traumatizing things that have happened to her since joining the Dollhouse, but there's tons of stuff before that. Her boyfriend dying in front of her ranks high on that list.

I wonder what the new Doll (Sam?) will bring to the show...perhaps if Echo starts remembering things around him, she'll try to fight him.

All around, it wasn't my favorite episode. But it was definitely very good.

A great episode all round, I loved how we got to see more of Echo/Caroline's background. She was obviously some kind of animal activist and wanted to change what she saw in the Rossum lab. So sad when her boyfriend died and kept calling her his girl. Very interesting when she was in the hospital and Adelle came to see her but she was gone, she really does have faith (no pun intended) in Echo/Caroline.

A lot of laughs in this episode though it reminded me a lot of Band Candy and Tabula Rasa with all the identity laughs. Poor Sierra though having to remember the rape she went through but loved Victor instantly trying to calm her down. I loved how we got a titbit of his background of being a solider. It makes me wonder how him and Sierra were recruited in to the Dollhouse now.

The ending of the episode was the best with Sam being recruited by Adelle it was such a mirror image of how she did it with Echo/Caroline. I can't wait to see the next episode now I hope we get to see more of Sam now being an active and how he will interact with Echo and will she feel any kind uneasyness around him.

This episode was the Tabula Rasa of Buffy and the Spin the Bottle of Angel. I just liked this one better than Spin the Bottle!

This episode cracked me up and I'm still laughing thinking about it. Especially Adelle bouncing on the trampoline and climbing over the railing. Twice. Haha, I love her.

I do believe there is a connection Adelle has to Echo. What it is, we obviously don't know. So, we'll have to wait it out and see.

I liked the back story, YAY back story and I liked that we got to see another person recruited. That was wonderful! And we just learned so much from this episode.

And omg, who didn't laugh when Topher and Adelle were hiding from Mellie? I mean, come on!!! That was hilarious. But why the heck was Topher in his underroos? That was just odd. And Boyd, sweet, sweet Boyd. He's so adorable!

Anyways, Echo said no when he suggested going for her treatment the first time, but agreed the second. Wonder why? Anyone know why she went back on it and said yes? Did too much go on in her mind that she got too confused and was ready to have it? Lots of wonders. Maybe the first time Boyd asked her she could sense that things weren't really 'right' with him since the liquid magic was moving through his body? And she didn't have that connection at the time?! We'll see.

So yeah, awesome episode. I have more to say but my brain is all over the place right now!

This was THE SHIT. So effing good. For the first time I liked all the characters, loved Adelle tripping and her reaction afterwards to it. The dialogue was smart, crisp, Topher and Adelle starting their trip was just phenomonal.

I'm totally hooked now. I'm just hopping I can get more involved in Echo, she's the one character that I'm not onboard with.

Overall this was just a fantastic episode, Well written, acted, produced. I don't have a bad word to say about it. If this episode becomes the standard for this show, holy crap we're in for a thrill.

I wanna talk about this show now, for the first time, I want to ask people "seen Dollhouse? Its good"

Hm. I thought it was nice for a larf, but not as mind-blowing as the previous, IMHO. It was wonderful to get to see Olivia play Adelle as someone other than a stiff, reptilian, buttoned-up control-freak. For a while there when they cut back to Topher and Adelle on the floor, I thought thay they would have slept with each other! Wouldn't that have been awkward!?! And for Mellie to leave so soon...I was really liking her character and was sad when I saw her standing in the hallway with her baggage. At least we know a bit more about the Dollhouse, as new info on the Rossum Corporation pulling some or all of the strings, their testing on human, fetal subjects as well as animals, and the way the Dollhouse/Rossum removes the threat of hostile parties (or in this case, corporate espionage) by blackmail and "inducting" them into the ranks of the Actives. I'm still foggy as to why they had the Actives impersonating the NSA. You'd think that the FBI and CDC would have been involved instead.

This was a good episode. Not as Kabang!-there-goes-my-brain good as for example the last one was (or the next one promises to be). I liked how we got to see a different side of Adelle, her on the trampoline was amazing. But I liked the whole Topher-Adelle situation in general. They really have chemistry. I was a bit dissapointed in the ending of the main story though. There was this whole built up, and then in the end it was just Echo knocking the guy down. But the flashbacks were cool. Learning more about what happened, and probably, what is going on still is always nice 😉

Yeah I felt the same about the ending.
I loved this episode...like seriously loved it!

Topher and Adelle were brilliant, it seemed almost Band Candyesque in it's approach. Some great lines too.."I have another call..No!...I have a better call!!" and "I haven't shown you my drawer of inappropriate starches!" LMFAO...those were just great.

Adelle on the tampoline and climbing over the railing = Epic Win! LOL

I was slightly more interested in Echo (via Caroline) with this ep. Although I still would have preferred more Victor and Sierra, whose flash backs were really interesting, Victor especially. They send actives to war? That seems like a whole other ball game to me.

I'm guessing Sam is going to be active Mike?

I'm really enjoying this now...fingers crossed this quality holds.

LOVED this episode, greatness all around. The standout for me truly was Adelle. LMAO, jumping on the trampoline, her facial expressions, the actress was fabulous this episode... I'm looking forward to seeing more of her layers now. And Kean beat me to mentioning my favorite part, Topher's "I've got another call, I've got a better call!" Definately my laugh out loud moment
