Dollhouse Episodes

And GO.....for the last time this season (and there had better be more seasons)

Ha! A HA! I knew I knew what I knew. 😉 Still watching the episode and then I will be pre-ordering the season on amazon. Because it is amazing. And it better come back!

Oh, FOX did say "season finale" and not "series finale" before it started, so I have great hopes for renewal.

Oh this has been the best Finale of the season so far! Everything has been great. The Whisky reveal, all the flashbacks, The Alpha reveal, everything. Alpha is truly insane.

The only small downfall to this was nearly not enough Sierra/November/Victor.

NOOOO dont get rid of November! Thats so sad her 5 years are already up or that was his one condition.

Only bad part about this finale was that Sierra/November imprints were basically waisted. And who is the new November? Since all 5 pods were filled?

Nice way to end the season open ended just incase it doesnt come back. This needs to return for a 2nd season, I need to know what happens!

I love it. Love love love love love. And OMG, Mellie's free! Interesting that Ballard insisted that they free her and not Echo. Topher looks kind of disillusioned. And everybody looks like they could use hugs. Awwwwwwww.

Well Ballard is a lot closer to November then he is to Echo who he was just attached to through a case so it makes sense. But now we have a few lingering questions I need to know that fox will surely give us....

1. Now that Saunders/Whisky 1.0 is aware that she was/is a doll, will they wipe her again starting her from fresh, or will they just let her go on with herself.

2. Who is the new November/doll that took Novembers place in the sleeping pods?

3. What will become of Ballard? Will he join the dollhouse as a handler?

4. What will become of Victor? Will they be able to remove the scars???

And im wondering if the big bosses will send anyone down to Adelles DH to somewhat keep watch over it due to all the trouble she has had this year maintaining things.

True, true.
*gasp*
Wow. Great way to wrap up the season. Joss and Co. have given us the genesis of a great show, and I sincerely hope that Fox do the proper thing and renew this for season two.

BTW, who was the blonde actress who played the "captive"? She looked somewhat familiar, but her voice was what started ringing some serious bells...

It was Chrissy Seaver from Growing Pains! Of course, we've seen her most recently in CSI and The Mentalist and a bunch of other shows. Her name is Ashley Johnson in real life. I always recognize that distinctive voice of hers as well.

I think that tonights ratings will determine if we get a S2 or not. I think this finale atleast has to get a 3.5-4.0. Anything lower and Fox will probably cancel it for sure.

Oh. My. God.

I can officially say that Joss and Tim Minear can do no wrong.

That was just...well, "incredible" doesn't even describe it. I wasn't so sure it could top last week's episode, which I LOVED, but this completely threw that one out the window. In fact, I thought it rivaled anything Firefly ever had! Plus, the crazy, mind-frakking philosophical aspect is gonna be running through my mind for days, I just know it.

Also, did anyone else cry at the end? I don't even know why I did...the episode wasn't really sad in any way, shape, or form. I guess it was just really emotionally draining and I didn't have any other way to react.

Oh, and I loved the shoutouts to other shows. First, Topher's line, "Yeah! And we put their souls in jars (Angel) with the fireflies (Firefly, durrrr)." Then, the two BSG references (Alpha's "oh my gods" and the mention of "Roslin Industries" or whatever it was, but I might sort of be reaching for the latter).

EDIT:
Wait, I almost forgot to mention...HOW AWESOME WAS AMY ACKER IN THIS EPISODE?! Before it started, I expected Alan to be the highlight of this episode (because he was last week), but Amy completely stole the show! I've been waiting for her chance to shine the whole time and she definitely did not disappoint...I can't wait to see more in the future! The whole reveal was perfect, too, even though it was fairly expected because a lot of people caught "Dominic's" little slip-up last week.

Can someone explain to me what the goal of this show is? In terms of, what do the characters want? And what are we supposed to want for them? What would constitute success for these people? What are we rooting for, exactly?

Because after being blown away for 95% of this episode, I sat through yet another inevitable "did I fall asleep" reset, and I realized that I just don't know anymore what I would consider a victory for Echo, or Paul, or any of the others. And I'm not sure they do, either.

I'm just not on the same page as Joss & Co. with this show anymore, I guess. I hope it gets renewed, but I'm just not sure how much longer it will hold my interest if it does.

It was pure gold. I really liked the fight between the two of them, it really felt like a big bad showdown or something. Very gratifying. Also, the level of disturbingness and weirdness just keeps growing, which makes me all that much more interested. It really was a great end to the show. I sort of don't want another season, just because I'm afraid it will ruin this self contained first season. I thought that the way the story was told was excellent, and if they can't keep up with that in the later season, it will really bother me.

In any event, an excellent end to the season. Looking forward to rewatching on DVD later this year.

Yeah, I liked it. Got a few answers, got some new ones while not all of the old ones were answered. In my mind not a mindblowing wow of a season but I'll be very sad if we don't get another season. Which I'm not afraid to admit is partially down to some of the actors. But of course that's not the only reason. So we now have to wait for the dvd's to be released to watch the 13th episode (legaly at least)? The swedish channel that airs the show do say episode x of 13 so maybe they'll show it. But to be honest I don't take their information as 100% true. Maybe I should email them and ask? If they do show it and they air one episode each week it'll air July12th which is before the release of the dvd. *goes to send an email*

Well, that was great!
Not satisfying enough to be the end of the show though. Really hope that we get another season.

So, did Ballard choosed to help the Dollhouse only because he thinks it's that important to find Alpha?
Can't believe that he changed his mind that quickly, I guess he still believes that the Dollhouse should be shut down.
Can't see him accepting to be a handler anytime soon.

Also interesting to see him pick November as part of the deal instead of Echo. He did search for Caroline a very long time...
I do think Primal Slayer made a good point on why though.

The show is more interesting then ever, it would be a shame not to continue now. There is so much more to learn about these people.
Love that so many of the main cast is actually pretty bad people that does very questionable things.
Makes it very interesting, especially when they still manage to make them likeable. Firefly had the same thing going.

It can also be that Eliza is the supposed "star" in the show and even if Madeleine (?) comes back it wouldn't be the same if Echo would be "only" Caroline from now on would it? Even if I'm sure they could pull it off if they wanted to. But that's not the kind of logic we're after now is it?

🙂 Yeah, that thought did occur to me to.
But as you say, that kind of logic isn't as much fun as trying to find a good reason within the show.

Another question is if Ballard will try to keep/make contact with her, even if she isn't Mellie anymore.
Didn't looked that way I got to admit.

It was good. I'm moderately annoyed though....plastic surgery! Why not? Surely a multi-million dollar organisation can get plastic surgery in the mix. If we get a second season, fix up Victor! I love him!

So basically the Alpha/Echo thing was Victor/Sierra except a lot more freakish and disturbing, right? Alan Tudyk....creeped me out! LOVED IT! I could seriously stalk that man 😉 I think Ballard is pretty much right, you can't erase a soul. Alpha's was all messed up and such which is why when he composited he went all mental and psycho killy, whereas Echo's was all self righteous and knew the difference between right and wrong and stuff. Loved the ass kicking fight, not as much as the Echo vs Ballard showdown early on in the piece, but it was still awesomeness.

Yeah, it was a shame that we didn't see the the bounter hunter girls more, but where could we have fit that in? Amy as sexy Whisky? I knew there was a reason why I think she's hot (sw), to answer her question as to why Topher made her hate him so much, I'm thinking it's quite possible that he knows on some level he needs someone to knock the sails out of his winds, and with her face (unnecessarily) like that now, she's just the right person for the job.

I don't know if we'd get a second season. I think the reason it was tied up so nicely in the end is because they don't know themselves. If it goes on then there's room to move, and if not then it's not a bad ending.

How much do I want to watch Epitagh One though!

Random question, shouldn't the thread be labeled 1.12? ???

Lol, this was exacvtly me the entire episode :)
Nope i didn't like this at all. The reveal of Caroline in the new body, meant nothing, because I barely knew a thing about Caroline.
Some more dodgy acting from Eliza. Shame. Echo telling Caroline off for leaving her there, was nice though.
Saunders was a doll, really, that was it. It's been done with Victor, November, probably more that I've forgotten about. Just didn't impact on me at all. Echo chasing after Alpha, was dull. Running up lots of steps, and more steps, and some more steps. Just for him to vanish. Anti-climatic.
I think I expected too much from this one, and I think it shows that I wasn't a big fan off the show. I thought it was ok, and had hoped that this episode, would evolve the show enough, that I would be hoping for a second season. It hasn't.
It is nice to hear that you guys enjoyed the finale so much, so I have my fingers crossed they'll give you a second season. I won't be watching it. I gave the show a chance, but just never got into it.
One positive about this episode. Ballard. Who I never liked. Was really good in this one. I liked his talk of not being able to erase a soul, and I liked that he chose to free November. Took a while, but I liked him finally.
