Episode: Consequences

Discuss the conclusion to last weeks episode here! Did your opinion of Faith change when she tried to put the whole thing on Buffy? Or did your heart break for her because she obviously has many trust issues?

Ah.. my opinion of Faith never changed... I think she needs a mom and pills =P
She has thousand of issues, and one of them in what you´ve said: trust.

I don´t really blame her. Buffy has this so called perfect life yada yada and she is the fuc**ed one, with no nothing. And we know she can grief, and the episode show us this.. she just can´t deal with it.
And Buffy is a self-centered girl again... You know, after Angel did to Faith and all, I think Buffy is just a child back S3...

The thing I wonder most about this episode is if Angel would had been able to "save" Faith.
Have never decided myself.

Funniest is the Cordelia - Wesley meeting.
Not much laughs in this one though.

Otherwise I got to say that I was so happy that they didn't actually do the Faith setting up Buffy storyline.
When I saw it the first time I was fooled (as much as Buffy was). Thought that Giles really had belived Faith, and I didn't like it at all.
Luckily it was just an act to fool Faith. Instead I got a pleasant suprise and they did a much more believable story imo.

Overall a really great episode. Buffy as it best!

The thing I wonder most about this episode is if Angel would had been able to "save" Faith.
Have never decided myself.

I think the events of Angel season 1 indicate that Angel, if he had been given a real oppertunity, would have been able to reach Faith and prevent her downward spiral.

I wonder though, would he have stayed in Sunnydale to do so?

That's true.
I do think though that by then Faith had already reached rock bottom and realized herself that it just didn't worked anymore.

In Consequences I think Faith was pretty far from that realization.
That doesn't means that Angel wouldn't had succeded anyway, if given some more time.
They sure seemed to have some kind of understanding between each other anyway.

I don't know if Angel would've been able to reach her in Sunnydale at that time. It seemed that she needed to get away from the town to be able to face what was really wrong with her life. And meeting Angel in LA is probably what did it.

Pfft! Angel did reach her before and there is no reason why he would not have again. Getting away only did her more mental damage.

The further you run from mistakes they further they bury themselves into your psyche. LA had nothing to do with it; she just needed someone as dark as her to show her an alternative.

And actually yes, that episode did change my opinion of Faith. I respected her alot more for what she tried to do. I mean, anything worth doing is worth doing right. If she wanted to be a bad girl, go all the way. The fact she was willing to frame Buffy was a wonderful moment for Faith.
