10 Days of Angel Day 1: Season 1

Season 1 is fantastic. The group feels much more close-knit, with the small office and more of a family feel. Amazing guest star episodes too, although there was a few craptacular ones like She...
 
Season 1 is my favorite.
Much because of the things Bluebird just mention.

They really was a group back then, good friends that fight together and for each other. Always liked that.
Felt like that got lost more and more for each season.

It also had Doyle and the original, much funnier, Wesley. 🙂

Didn't really give Angel a chance until one of those times I had money to spend and decided to buy some dvd's and the first season was on sale. Don't even know when it started airing in Sweden. But I know which channel it was on and it wasn't the same as Buffy. At first viewing I didn't think it was as great as Buffy but once I was done with the first season I had to have the rest too. It's taken it's time but now I wonder if I don't prefer Angel over Buffy. But it might be because it still feels more fresh to me since I haven't watched it the same amount of times as Buffy since I haven't had it as long. Hmmm, wonder if that's why I prefer the later seasons of Buffy? Oh well that's not a thought for this thread.

Good to know...I actually just finished season 1 for the first time and it was pretty awesome in fact, I can't believe i didn't watch it before but i guess i didnt really like Angel in Btvs.
 
it wasn't appealing to me at first. because I was more into buffy. after wathcing the first episode I was like me and didn't really follow it.
