10 Days of Angel Day 3: Season 2

It's an interesting season. I like how there's no actual arc. It became my favorite episode lately. I like it from the opening scene when they walked in the fitness center. It's so cool. We've seen Angel riding horse on the street in L.A., a small Faith's scene, The A.I. team moving in the hotel, Darla and Dru, Dark Angel, Lindsey saying good-bye to Wolfram & Hart, and the thing I love the most is Pylea. And we got to know new awesome characters like Lorne and Fred. 🙂

There're so many good episodes in this season. Even some are not good, it's replaced by fun. I can't even tell which episode is my favorite of the season.
 
Best Angel Season.

Drusilla, Darla, Angel going dark but not evil, Gunn becoming a propper crew member, Gunn/Wes/Cordelia working together [we are the championssss], Angel then working for them, and last but not least Lorney Tunes, Pylea, and meeting Fred.

LOVE IT.
 
Season 2 was the last 'true' season of Angel as far as I was concerned.. with bringing on Lorne especially and Pylea as a result, the tone of the previous seasons (most of the second at least) were changed. Season 1 was very much a detective noir, and most of season two was that as well.. then towards the end of this season something changed, and it was a very long time until Angel felt like Angel again to me. Season Two has always been bittersweet to me- the introduction of my most detested Jossverse character and the shift from what I had grown to like in Angel.

Do you mean Lorne?

I love season 2 so much! Wesley is the best in this one, he's so cute and funny. I actually like how Angel goes dark because it results in Cordy, Wes, and Gunn working together, and I think his side of everything is really interesting too. Then Pylea!! Yay for Fred!
 
I love this season..mostly for Dru coming back, Darla messing with Angel's head, and the introduction of Lorne and of course Fred.

Yeah, I mean Lorne. The character was a living, breathing stereotype that never grew, never changed.. he was a cardboard, cookie-cutter one-dimensional character that did not deserve as much adoration or screentime as he got. I despise camp for the sake of camp unless it is to the extreme- the Lorne character was not that.

Ask me what I think about Andrew.. LOL

Though I do give Joss massive credit as I thought Topher from Dollhouse was another one of 'these' and I very much hated his character in the first season, but thus far I see some RANGE and actually *gasp* can now appreciate the character.
 
I love season 2, I think it might be my favourite. Darla and Dru coming back, W&H getting bigger, and Angel going a bit crazy. It was all good fun. I loved the bond you saw being formed between Cordelia, Wes and Gunn. I really missed that in the later seasons when they all grew apart.

Why did they grow apart? AH! Because of Pylea!
Very good season, although i feel it lacks the big standout episodes of the previous season.
I really liked Lorne and Gunns roles in s2, that they helped out A.I. but still had their own thing going on away from Angel, they were more allies rather than working for.
Again, i loved the guest stars from Buffy.
The best thing of s2 though is W&H. I loved Lindseys rivalry with Angel and Lilah.
 
I like season two, not my favourite season, but there are a lot of episodes that I love, such as Are You Now, or Have You Ever Been, which is one of the most perfect hours of television I have ever seen, Darla, Guise Will Be Guise which is my favourite Wesley episode, so, so funny ("Where you in Virginia?"), and the Pylean episodes are wonderful. Gonna have to go against the anti-Lorne feeling around here, I love the guy so much, and Andy was wonderful, a very sad loss.

If I have any issue with the season it has to be that the tone of the season is all over the place, the first two thirds being quite dark and serious, before replacing the Darla act with Pylea, which is great, don't get me wrong, but the season goes from being very dark to very light all to quickly, but the quality of the episodes are very high.

I LOVE Lorne! The only thing I don't like about him is that he killed Lindsey at the end of s5 :(

Yeah, I can't stand Andrew most of the time, honestly. Although I did like Lorne, I can see your point. He felt so out of place and without a purpose in S5.
 
Season 2 (next to season 3) is my favourite season of Angel. It was filed with awesomeness! I really liked the Darla storyline (because Darla is awesome), we saw Angel go slightly bad (which is always hot), and Wolfram & Hart became increasingly important. Also, this season had a good combination of humour and the graveness of the situation, which has always been the essence of Whedonverse.
 
Season 2 used to be my favourite season, it has everything you could want. Its got a mixture of dark and light, excellent characters returning (darla and drusilla) and a great rivalry as wlel between linsay and lilah.

Love it.
 
Season 2 was a good season. It was better than 1 as the show had found its place. I didnt reli like doyle. i think he made the show dull. I wouldnt say season 2 was the best but it is a great season!!!!!!!! 🙂
 
I really like this season. The hotel, the introduction of Lorne, Pylea (most of it) but mostly the Darla and Dru arc and not to mention the introduction of Fred. Not so fond of Angel firing the others but since that made the others get closer I can forgive it. 😉 Not too fond of Angel on a horse or Are You Now or Have You Ever Been or The Shroud of Rahmon even if they do have moments I like.

A year back I wouldn't say this was my favourite season but now it might actually be. Have to give it some real thought.
