Okay, so even though we LOVE Buffy, there were those episodes that were...um...not up to par.

For Day 4 of the celebration, the staff gives you our list of top 10 worst episodes of Buffy:

9. Inca Mummy Girl

I agree with most of that list. I would have including 'As you Were'. Actually I would have put it at number 1. The only reason I think its not on your list is because it is so bad you've all forgotten it.

Beer bad gets a bad rep because it lacks subtlety but I think it is one of the funnier episodes.

1. Teacher's Pet??? Really? No way! the worst episode ever was "Superstar" Jonathon being the Superhero...it was way bad

My list of Baddies would be:

5. Hell's Bells

3. I only have eyes for you - I don't care if Angel is Buffy's bitch.

i agree with most of 'em, but i actually liked Beer Bad. i thought it was funny. Anyway, my list

1. Go Fish (the only reason i watch is for Wentworth Millar!)
2. Phases
3. Reptile Boy
4. Ted
5. Bad Eggs
6. As You Were
7. All the Way
8. Inca Mummy Girl
9. Him
10. The Body (i KNOW it's a ground breaking ep, and all that, but i just don't like it!)
 
Fook yeah, how did Go fish escape the staff list? That episode is AWFUL. Truly truly dire. The stink from that episode wasn't from the fish it was the crap writing.
 
Go Fish didn't escape it...it shouldn't really be ON the worst list, in my opinion. It's a pretty funny episode with Cordy all over Xander on the swimteam.

And I'm all for any episodes that feature Xander more. He's the funniest character. The Zeppo Great episode...but I am suprised it wasn't added to at least one of these lists.

I couldn't come up with 10 that I really hated, and I really don't hate these, they're just eps that I could have lived without. Funny they're almost exclusively s1.

DOUBLEMEAT PALACE.

Did we all forget Doublemeat Palace? That episode sucked beyond all words.

Now, I actually found enjoyment in Go Fish and Beer Bad and the like. I hated a lot of season four episodes - I felt like that entire season was just kind of worthless. Spike made me smile, though, so I don't hate completely.

I thought Superstar was kind of funny, but I'd agree with putting it on the worst lists.

Him was lame. Completely, stupidly lame. Failed.

A lot of season seven episodes are lame. I was getting to the point that if I had to hear another Buffy speech someone was gonna die horribly.

DP should really have been on my list, too.....can't really figure out why I left it off!
ok, i do believe there is more controversy about worst ep then best ep! i mean, seriously NO ONE BUT ME has any love for 'i robot, you jane'! i suppose i do get why, but i like it! its one of the few ones i like in season 1! i guess thats because of jenny's entrance and the willow focus. and there's so much season 4 slamming! i get the hate for that too, and its not my favourite season, and i did not like riley...but i enjoyed some of these eps 🙂. a lot of which were mentioned here as "worst episodes". also, inca mummy girl was a shock as a bad episode for me...!

you know what, to each his own (or her own) 🙂. there's just too much controversy here :silly:!
 
Some of these picks just stun me.
Most of them appear to be not bad but less intense than the others. Such is the case with beer bad, Buffy vs. Dracula, Bad eggs, and the never popular Doublemeat Palace.

This makes me wonder if intensity is what drives this series and not just "bad" episodes.
 
I love Him! It's one of the funniest episodes ever, When Willow and Xander oogle over Dawn before they know it's Dawn, and when Buffy tries to kill Wood with a rocket launcher. Come on people! 😛 A few moments in Buffy v Dracula and Doublemeat Palace also made me LOL.

The only really bad episodes I can think of were... Killed By Death, Dead Things, maybe Bad Eggs.. but they still have a few funny scenes in them
 
The only thing I remember about Doublemeat palace is the woman with the giant penis coming out of her skull. That was just all kinds of wrong.

I actually quite like Buffy vs Dracula. I've never understood why people have a problem with it.

yeah I didn't find DMP funny till I got the DVDs, but the penis monster did suck :p

I really used to hate that episode, but as I grew older I learned to see the thruth, heh, and now I totally love it!

Episodes that I find really bad are Inca Mummy Girl, Bad Eggs, Teacher's Pet, I Robot, You Jane...
