Well, favorite parts: the flashbacks!! Aaahhh I love flashbacks. It´s one of the best flashback episodes. We have the Angelus birth and the "Welcome to my World" quote *_* The lil sister, the father. The whole Darla moments *_* And I just LOVE when she say "Darling boy. So young. Still so very young"

I don´t really like the Kate part... But was cruel to see Angel watching her father to die...🙁

The flashbacks are definitely the best. And what about the big bad of the week? So lame and very easily defeated. The demon in the beginning was way harder to defeat. Not exactly how it´s supposed to be right? With my lousy memory I might be wrong but can we asume that Angel got his name because of what his little sister said?

Big Bad? I don´t even remember about a bad guy of the week xDDDD
I just remember the amazing flashbacks and Kate almost in love =P

About the name.. I don´t remember, better take a look at the episode later. I thought Angelus came first, and then the good version became Angel xD (ok, same translation, but you know what I mean lol)

I do. :)

He wasn´t much to remember. Didn´t even do a lot of fighting. Just got his head cut off and told his minions to kill Kate. Or to quote Angel "A big, ugly drug-running demon, who thinks he is a lot scarier than he is"

Hm... I thought the Kwaini, Kaini, Kwini, whatever-is-called, was the demon... But.. maybe, just messing up with the names xD The subway scene, right?

*need to see the episode BEFORE posting*

That was the one at the start, the drug runner. The "big" bad was his boss.
Something I liked? For once a TV show actually has a vague idea about what the word "prodigal" ACTUALLY MEANS.

And TK, yes, Liam took the name Angelus as a corruption of what his sister said. He subsequently decided to take it in it's original form when he got his soul back, cause he didn't have enough guilt weighing him down at the time, y'know?

thank you!! And... c´mon.. not used with you being Lindsey >.<
This is an episode I always forget about and find myself pleasantly surprised when I find it again. The flashbacks are great (as they always are on Buffy/Angel) although the Irish accent is still a crime against humanity in my opinion. The love when Kate is describing the killer and it cuts to various shots of Angel, it worked so well.

Best part of the ep...Angel being tied to the bed and Cordy and Wes refusing to let him go.😀

The Kinslayer agrees: You´re not thinking of Somnambulist are you?

I don't think so. They tie him to the bed because they think he is the 'The Pope', the serial killer who infact is Penn?

I'm confused now.

You should check out the episodes again. 😉 But I don´t blame you for getting them confused. My thoughts goes to Somnambulist first too when I here the title The Prodigal. Check it out and come back to me on the subject ok?

Wow...well I couldn't have gotten that more wrong if I tried. I always think of Somnambulist when I hear that title...ya know what that means? Time for Kean get her Angel dvd's out and start watching🙂

Ok as for my thoughts on the actual episode...I liked it! lol
As everyone has said the flashbacks are great (although again with the woeful accents). Kate always pissed me off though the way she blamed Angel, I can understand in this ep but when she keeps it up for a whole season I get annoyed.

"I couldn't have gotten that more wrong if I tried" Really? I think it had been even worse if you had confused it with Spin the bottle or something. ;)
I love this episode, definately one of my favourites of the season. And it has one of the best Angel scenes.

Darla: "You're victory over him took but moments."
Angel: "Yes?"
Darla: "But his defeat of you will last life times."
Angel: "What are you talking about? He can't defeat me now."
Darla: "Nor can he ever approve of you "“ in this world or any other. - What we once were informs all that we have become. The same love will infect our hearts "“ even if they no longer beat. Simple death won't change that."
Angel: "Love? - Is this the work of love?"
Darla : "Darling boy. - So young. Still so very young."
