My cousin who is 15 and is about a month or 2 pregnant and she just found out, she goes to my school so she told me and im the only one who knows. What do I do...... I dont know what to tell her cuz I dont know how she feels.
I think she should tell her parents or our head mistress....but she told me and me only not even her sister (who also goes to my school) since we only see our family over the weekends she has no curage to tell them.....but what do I do, how can I help her? What do I say? Do I tell someone?
And to make thing worse, we are not that close, were related but never hang out or do things together with out being made to do so.......and now Im the one who she tells this to......argh!!!
HELP!! lol

Lost Angel,

Yes, I do believe you should let somebody else know. She is probably very scared and feeling very alone right now. She confided in you, but she will need the help of an trusted elder. She cannot cover for much longer that she is pregnant. Find somebody you both trust and go to them and they will help you and your cousin to get through this trying time.

15? I hate to be rude but that was stupid of her. Yes you should tell someone but make sure you trust them.(not to scare you but I've heard you can kicked outta school if you have a child). Now I;m a guy and not good at these things and sorry if I offend someone by saying this but... 'Couldn't she get an abortion?'

The child probobly isn't formed much and at 15 she'll pretty much ruin her life. I really don't have any good advice except for that. You'd probobly be best listening to other girls.

Is she absolutly sure???

I agree...Even though she is trusting you and i know how you feel....But even though she is trusting you, you need to tell someone...She will need help when it gets closer to birth...And when the baby weight comes what is she gonna do???Trust me...My mom was pregnant with my now 12 year old sister, and even though i was only like four i remember how hard it was for her...Well..Sorta...Not really..Anyways....Help her...She will thanks you eventually...

Here's my two cents...
One, if she doesn't get help she may do something stupid and desperate and end up putting her own life in danger. You should definately talk her into going with you to speak to someone even if it is a counselor or someone at a clinic where it is confidential. That might give her the confidence to tell a parent. Be supportive. Find out who the father is too. Then make sure he is informed. THAT could be an issue as well. But she chose you...so just handel this with all of the wisdom and care you can muster.
And really, just a side thought, I wouldn't recomend an abortion. It may solve some issues now but in the long run it will most likely rip her apart. She doesn't know what she would be losing right now but one day she would. Wether she has another kid or wether she's walking along in 5 years and sees a child that would have been the same age as hers if she had let it be...I've seen it happen. But that's just my thought so hey...

Sorry but I think they were looking for some POSITIVE feedback. Being pregnant is not a waste of time. And population is not the issue here.

you should tell someone, who can help you... maybe you have someone you can contact who have no right to say anything to others about it! someone who can help her with what options she have(abortion, keeping it, or adoption!) i hope that you find someone who can help you! Good luck!!

watcher Wes I've deleted your post; make comments that stupid again and you'll be in trouble.

*LostAngel* it's very difficult i know, but just try and be there for her; you can't go telling other people for her, but encourage her to ask other people for help. Just listen to her and be there for her to cry on yoru shoulder; and you know we're all here to help if you need anything.

I agree with Willow.

Just be there for her. Being pregnant is a very scary time for one so young, i had my first at 24 and that was no picnic, so imagine what it must feel like for a teen. You shouldn't tell anyone else, it's up to her to tell someone else. And she has to. This won't go away by itself. If she hasn't already then she should get herself along to her GP, to get a test to confirm that she is indeed pregnant and also to talk about her options. She doesn't have to worry about a doctor telling her parents without her permission because he/she isn't allowed to, at whatever age.

She needs to talk to her parents about this, what's her relationship with them like?, is she close to them or not?. Is she afraid of their reaction to her news?. Most parents will be angry if their daughter announces she's pregnant at such a young age, but they usually come around to the idea and are generally really supportive. I think the sooner she tells them, as hard as it is, the better it will be for her mentally.

And these days, you don't necessarily get kicked out of school for being pregnant. In the UK, i think there are special units for pregnant teens and teen mums. I'm not a hundred percent sure how wide spread these places are.

I can't stress enough how important it is that she tells someone such as her parents.

And it's great that she can have you to talk to and trust 🙂

Hope everything works out for her.

Thank you guys!!! I talked to her today and she has decided to tell her mom (there pretty close), She is hopefuly gonna do it tomorow when we go home, I hope she does. Im scared her father is gonna hate her, hes realy strict and mean.
She took a couple of tests and they were positive...so she is prety sure since also she skiped a month too..
I promiced to not tell anyone untill she tells them. Im not sure about my school, since its a boarding school Im sure shes gonna get cicked out....but I dont know. She's gonna tell her boyfriend today or tomorow too. He doest go to our school so I dont know what is gonna hapen then. He is 17 and no one in her family knows shes even dating........so Im praying for her.

Thanks you guys!!!

You should really tell her to ask someone for advice, someone like a parent, because you can't tell for her,you should just support her

Hey, I'm glad she is going to her mom. I hope she is supportive of what has happened. I am sorry that her father is that way and I really hope that she is not pushed into an option that will leave her destroyed inside or out. She still has a lot of growing to do mentally and emotionally and it would be a shame for her to suffer for a "long term" desision if it isn't right for her. Our best wishes are with her...Please keep us updated!

I think that she should keep all her options open, the best thing to do is to think about what's best for HER. She's the important one, whatever option keeps her life intact is the best one.

Im home now and I wont see her till monday but I hope she did it. I want to call her and see but Im not sure if I should. I hope her boyfriend Jason knows.........I think telling him would be even harder, cuz ever girl is afraid of rejection.....expecialy if you tell your boyfriend you are having his child you know..........

Yeah it is hard. And scary especially at that age. But if the guy would bail then she's better off without him. I hope that she learns from this. I hope everyone who reads this can.

How long has she been pregnant, 'cause you might wanna have her discuss it with people quick, in case she might want an abortion.

get to a GP, they can check it all out and put her in touch with a sex advice place. 🙂

sorry about your cousin its a **** situation to be and not one i envy 🙁

ok, well i would try to talk to her and get her to understand why she should tell someone else, i mean, they're gonna find out eventually. I know it'll be hard for her, but i think before you try to tell anyone else you should try to get her to tell someone. good luck
