Echo is left adrift in the world after her experiences at the DC Dollhouse, and her multiple personalities struggle against each other... and Echo. Meanwhile, Boyd receives a call and Harding makes his move against Adelle.

Alpha seemingly returns and goes after Echo's past romantic clients, killing them one by one.

Meet Jane Doe wasn't a great episode, but still good, in my opinion. But it was intresting enough. Echo becoming what we've been waiting for. Will be interesting to see how it'll change the rest of the season. I'm a bit afraid that it'll mean it being very Echo centred and no matter how much I love Eliza I want to see more of the other characters. I miss them when we don't get to see them. Spoiler for episode 9.

Even if episode 9 seems to be a Victor episode involving Sierra. Can't wait.

And then Alpha, Alpha, Alpha! So great seeing Alan back. He just have to return again. And Echo is definitly much more intresting now than before. 🙂 And how will Adelle handle the new Echo?

I've just finished watching both of these episodes and I really enjoyed them. Its to see the new Echo trying to handle all her personalities and going through all that training with Paul to ready herself back in to the dollhouse. I don't like Adelle suddenly becoming an extreme hard arse bitch not unless theres a greater purpose in there that will come out eventually. The second episode was the best though, Alpha coming back was awesome and wiping Paul and placing his personality in to himself... oh that was far too evil and good all at once. Loved seeing all the dolls kicking arse like that before Topher finally hit them with the remote wipe. Overall two great episodes and I can't wait for the next two now!

I thought it was fantastic. The show really made some leaps and bounds in the story. To see how Echo can switch through those imprints, was not only great but also made me realize that watching it made me feel like "this" was what we had been waiting for. Echo, turning into a super human. Adelle just made me so angry! She was one of my favorites and this episode I hated her. And then I hated her even more for making me hate her! Topher was still funny, but was so remorseful and we realized that he actually understood what he was doing. Love that Paul and Boyd were working together, but I saw it coming anyways. YAY ALPHA! I was so excited when I saw Alan come on the screen! He was looking mighty fine, yes? Just as twisted though. When he killed Paul I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. "Oh. When did you die?" He sounded so disapointed and I couldn't help snorting because I never dreamed they were actually going to kill Paul. I never saw it coming because of Epitaph one. When we realized that Alpha had Paul imprinted in him was when it hit me that Joss was really killing him.
I assume they cannot imprint a man that is braindead. Unless some impossible miracle happens -which it could in TV land- I doubt that Paul in that body will be back.

Paul isn't dead he's just brain dead and he's obviously gonna come back lol gosh this week absolutley amazing and I agree about Adelle. Next week looks like Echo's imagination while she's in the _____.

I liked them, I though there was some great lines in both. I didn't enjoy them as much as I did lasts weeks eps. I think the quality really suffered for having to rush things along. I felt like " Months Later" was a real let down and we needed more about Dewitts change of heart, how she went about retaking the house and Echo and Paul's summer. I know it really couldn't be helped but it really caused the enjoyment factor to dip for me.

I'm still wondering what is going on with Dewitt? Is her sudden change all a rouse for Rossum? Also, Alpha downloaded Paul I don't get why they can't upload him into his own body again? How different is braindead from a wiped doll. Topher has already manipulated glands and other bodily functions, why can't he manipulate Ballard's body in the same way?

It kinda feels like a double bill of Lost. More questions than answers.

I greatly enjoyed these episodes and while I agree that they seemed a little rushed, it really couldn't be helped. I was thinking the same thing: why can't they imprint Paul into his own body? You're telling me that Topher can imprint anyone with this new "tech", but he can't do this??

Alpha is turning into one of my favorite characters, and he's is playing this role perfectly. He's just crazy and evil enough to still want to hate him, but he's just so damned likeable. I can't wait for the next week's episodes and it makes me angry all over again that this show has been cancelled.

In regards to Adelle's change in character, am I the only one who assumed she was simply made by Rossum into a doll version of herself? Topher said that technology he came up with would allow them to make dolls out of anyone, regardless of whether they had the active imprints or whatever and it fell into the hands of rossum. They could have made her, much like Denisof's character, into a doll that had her memories and such but made her loyal to Rossum/completely lacking morals, etc.

I figure Adelle's playing an incredibly deep game. The whole thing where she leaned over Echo and whispered, "Wonderful to have you back, love" made it seem to me like she's rooting for Echo to overthrow Rossum . . . but she can't seem to want Echo to overthrow Rossum because she needs to be in this position of power.

I'll have to wait until I watch them a second time before discussing, but "A Love Supreme" has one of my new favorite quotes:

"I am obsolete. This must be what old people feel like...and Blockbuster."

Couple of great episodes. I preferred A Love Supreme though, cos Alpha is soooo good. 😀 All his scenes are fantastic to watch, and I especially liked when he turned the Dolls into crazy fighters.

I'm impressed about the fact that the dolls fighted everyone but themselves. That is some good programming.

Did anyone else go AHA! When Topher discussed being able to wipe any human being? Totally explains what might have been the cause of post-apocalyptic Epitaph One. And why they try to stay away from electronics, maybe the signal was starting to be sent out through radios, t.v.s, etc. I'm seeing the connection, but it sucks because they should have aired Epitaph One, because most regular viewers who aren't dedicated as we (lol), won't get how great and terrifying the situation is because they don't know that it came true.

Kean agrees: I thought she was saying that in a sarcastic kind of way. I think I need to rewatch these two.

I thought that was the one moment she showed actual feeling and humanity in that entire stretch of episode. I'm open to other interpretations, though.

I thought it was sarcastic too. Shes obviously not pleased that Echo is becoming similar to Alpha and she doesn't trust her.

I can't decide yet, but I think I enjoyed these more than last week's episodes. Last week's were great, don't get me wrong, but I think these two had answers as well as questions. But as they're not really a two-parter, I'm gonna look at each separately.

So 'Meet Jane Doe' - absolutely loved it, but then I'm not someone who has a problem with Echo-centric episodes. I loved watching Paul and Echo at home, it was super cute. I was so annoyed that Paul was getting too caught up in whether Echo really felt for him and didn't just kiss her. I do admire his integrity though.

I love the fact Echo is a person now. She's not Caroline, she's Echo. Echo must also be even more 'special' than Alpha. He doesn't really have any control over her personalities at all. They are in constant conflict with each other and 'himself' and always arguing. But with Echo, she's the one in charge and I LOVE that.

I also love Boyd being back on the good side. I thought they'd be a tension between him and Paul and at times I guess there was, when Boyd said he'd looked into her eyes first etc, but I think it's not such a big deal because Boyd's relationship is much more fatherly. Paul, for me right now, is everything to Echo.

I am SO angry with Adelle right now. The look on Topher's face when he realised her betrayal was heartbreaking. I don't care what reasons she's got for doing it, I'm still mad at her.

A Love Supreme - I was expecting much more with Alpha. It wasn't until the last ten minutes that I went 'Ooh' from when he sets the sleepies crazy. Before that he just annoyed me and I hate he's being made out as some unstoppable super human being - just shoot his brains out. Please.

The whole 'love' thing between Echo and Paul is beautiful. Echo is so honest and genuine and she really does love Paul, well I think so. I think he loves her too, I agree with Alpha there, but I don't think he wanted to admit that to himself because he still has this problem with being like one of those who uses her.

I was so close to breaking down in tears when he 'died', especially because of how upset Echo was and him asking her (through Alpha) to end his life. I was also thinking 'what, he's in Epitaph One so he can't die' then I remembered the episode with the creepy woman loving serial killer. He was sent to the Dollhouse because Topher would be able to play with his brain and wake him up (in a nutshell) so I'm thinking that's what will happen here.

Adele's face at the end scared me. A lot.

If the show wasn't ending next month, I'd say it might be a good thing FOX didn't air Epitaph One. Yes, it was an amazing episode, but for regular viewers it might be better for them to see these things develop without knowing exactly where it ends up. Joss did say this season we'd be seeing things starting to develop that leads to the Epitaph One scenario so I wasn't really surprised, but I enjoyed seeing it.

I do think FOX should have a two hour finale night next month though, since they are airing Epitaph Two...they should show E1 first.

I'm really confused on Adelle's complete personality turn around, I hope this isn't just a last minute change and it's actually explained in these last remaining episodes. I understand that they're trying to wrap it up as best as they can, but I think it's all becoming a little too bunched up and messy. These two episodes were definitely not my favorites. Although, I did like Echo's super progression, and I honestly cannot wait to see how the finale and the remainder plays out.

At this point I'm so so bitter (about the cancellation), but I'm keeping happy and excited! 🙁 :cheering:

I, too, am way upset about the cancellation. The episodes from the last two weeks alone should be enough to save it, and if you factor in Sierra's episode, I just don't understand how they could do this...

But on the episodes themselves, I was a little ticked. I'm not a huge Paul fan so I wasn't so upset when he died. His scenes were nice, though. I like that Echo's *finally* getting interesting. She had a personality before, but it was very dull. At least she's getting better. Topher, as always, was fabulous fabulous fabulous!

The part that got me all riled up was Adelle. Adelle was totally my favorite character on many levels and part of the reason for that is her moral complexity. I find (found?) it interesting how she actually thinks (thought?) she was doing the right thing. I don't think she's been dolled, but I feel like I have to believe there's a deeper scheme going on. I'm thinking maybe she left out part of the plans when she gave them over? When Topher realized what she had done, I almost cried. And almost yelled. As it is, my mouth was hanging open and my dad had to remind me to close it. It's terrible after having seen Epitaph One. The moment they share with in that episode is perhaps my favorite scene of the series and to see this just broke my heart. I have to have faith that she'll be making it up soon, though.

All the "oh!" moments were great... er, in a nonsexual way. lol But realizing how everything was leading to Epitaph One. I'm glad I've seen it because it just ups the creepy factor of the whole thing. It has more of an impact on me.

Great, great episodes. I didnt think i would like the echo centric episode but it was definately one her best. Alpha was great as usual, he had so many great lines.

Anyway, the only issue i had (not sure if i missed it or not) was why did the mexican girl (i think her name was Galena) go to jail for 3 months for stealing some snacks???

I really enjoyed this week's episodes. I actually think I preferred the first one, maybe. I'm not too sure, actually lol.

I thought Adelle was very creepy in the two episodes, and I really liked it. I'm sorta indifferent towards Ballard, so I wouldn't really care if they couldn't revive him. Eh.

I wonder what about next week will be so "mind-blowing."?
