2.17-DisHarmony

I thought this episode was really funny, Harmony trying to be good and all, and trying to be like the girl back in high school, and then Cordelia thinking she was gay, lol!

W&H made Angel head of their L.A. Branch. Big story, watch 'Home'

Loved the episode, so funny. Something we needed after broody Angelathon. I like the telephone conversation with Willow, reminded me of how much I want to re-watch parts of S4 Buffy (loved the college part, not the initiative though). Also Angel winning Cordy over with clothes, good to see parts of old Cordy back.

Also Phantom Dennis was in the ep, hadn't 'seen' him in a while.

That episode was on here yesterday. I don't think I've laughed that much for a long time. Everything was so funny. Angel trying to make up for everything, and Harmony...I have to say I don't really like Harmony, she's ok and funny, but she got very annoying as a vampire. But in this episode she was just great. Especially when Angel and Wesley stormed into Cordy's apartment with the crossbows!

I'm going against the crowd and saying I really- REALLY- didn't like this episode. Some parts were bearable, some parts were amusing, some parts were so off character I scowled. Firstly; what I didn't like.

Cordelia should, by all rights, have still been pissed off at Harmony. She had "disowned" her from the Cordettes, treated her like shit, and then she goes and invites her to stay in her house? Cordelia is stubborn- she isn't the type to forgive and forget *exhibit A; Xander*.

Which brings me to the ending. Why in Gods name would she forgive Angel? Yes, she loves clothes, and she would most definately TAKE them, but she wouldn't forgive him, by any rights. He had abandoned them, turned creepy beige-y kinda soul-less Angel, and she had to have HIS visions while he chased over another skanky blonde. le sigh.

Also, she knows evil. She would definately NOT encourage the gang to support and embrace shebitch!Harmony when she was an evilvamp. Why oh why? Another out of character act.

What I did like:

Gunn hitting/flirting on/with Harm. Priceless.

The talkingaboutblood thing. Angel was lusting for it, and you could see that- it's part of him, he's a vampire, and I'm glad they sort of embraced that there. Although, the rest of the gang by all rights should have been MAJORLY disgusted by that.

Angel's smile when Cordy forgave him, and that kiss on the cheek. Also the, "gay man's style!" comment. Gave me a chuckle or two.

Yeah, right. Why clothes and no shoes? After all, Angel knew her so well when he explained the Cordettes to Doyle: "like Stalin's police if they cared about shoes"
I guess they went with clothes because of Cordelia's outrage at her clothes being donated...
Sorry, but I found her majesty's tiff with Angel waaaay to overblown. This is the person who didn't answer Aura's calls until she had the proper apartment, right?
The clothes ending was perfect - it brought St Cordelia down a notch and mercufully lightened the entire "redemption through humiliation" plot. Still grating me to see Wesley giving orders - this is the Wesley who offered to wash every coffee bean of the floor individually and begged to be invited to the eggs breakfast that boss/non-solids eating Angel was cooking for his crew in S1.
I guess pettiness is one of my pet peeves.

:blah:

This episode was Hilarious!!! Cordy thinking Harmony is a lesbian, and Wes/Angel's reaction to Harmony :lmao: It is just plain hilarious!!! And then the pyramid vampire weirdo haha!!! I loved this episode!

i think the same thing! =D
I'm on board with the Harmony lovers. She always makes me laugh! Gotta love Harmony.

Plus, on Buffy, she asked one of my all time favorite questions. I forget whether she was hungry or horny at the time, but she looked at Spike and asked why, if they have no heart to pump the blood, do vampires get all these blue veins all over them whenever they are (insert either hungry or horny - something that started with an "h," at least!). It was a good question. Harmony may be an airhead, but she is funny -- and, sometimes, she points out the things no one else notices, like the vein thing.

I watched this episode again last night and I have to say I laughed harder this time than I had before. This episode was hilarious! The scene between Cordelia and Willow had me rollin' as Willow had to tell Cordy what Harmony really was. Cordelia replies she thought Harm was a lesbian only to get a rebuke by Willow. The look on Cordy's face was priceless.

I laughed when Angel and Wesley bust through Cordy's door to stake Harmony only to find them both on the couch painting each other's nails. Angel says he agrees with Cordelia and Wesley starts pointing the crossbow at him. Angel nonchalantly pushes the crossbow down.

Lorne's comment that Harmony should reconsider her name was another good pun.

Finally, the best scene was the last one where Angel buys Cordelia all those clothes and he's doin' a happy dance right beside her as Wesley looks on with grim disapproval. This entire episode had me rollin' last night!!!

I remember being distinctly surprised when this ep first aired that Willow was actually SHOWN during the phone conversation. Only time thy've ever done that on either show wth a phone convo. Good ep by the way 🙂

This thread is very old...but I'm commenting to say the Cordy/Harmony misconception scene was one of the top 5 scenes of comedic gold on either show. Absolutely classic, especially in conjunction with the Willow scene...Cordy's reaction was just hilarious.

I watched this yesterday again, I forgot how funny it was aswell. I love how 'school yard' Wesley gets with Harmony and when she puts the chewing gum in the book-
Wesley: "*What* are you doing!?! This book is twelve centuries old!"
Harmony: "Okay. So it's not like I messed up a new one."
I LMAO everytime. Hehehe

Fred was like the Willow of Buffy imo. Plus we got Harmony as a main charecter in S5 so it all worked out. She and Jonathon went beyond their intended stories which was great.

Yes, except Willow actually served a purpose...

Harmony didn't really become a regular until half-way through season 5...and even then she was very under-used...I think she should have come in much earlier.

I was R0TFLMA0 this entire episode, especially when Wes had to be restrained from dusting Harmony. :lmao:

Seeing him be boss just doesn't fit, hope it's temporary.

Angel continued to grovel his way back to Cordy, perhaps he's developing feelings beyond friendship?
