Um first. Can someone explain to me what bandwidth is exactly?
Second...how do I make referals? I won't go crazy it's just that I feel 2 people deserve 1.

Any help will be much appreciated....thanks.

I posted these questions elsewhere but they were seperate, in the wrong place, and no one answered them.

I don't know the first one but
referals is when you e-mail someone and tel them about this site you give your username and ask them to refer you.
Get it?
Check my profile! I have sent 4 referals.

Hmm.........need someone more technical to explain bandwidth me thinks - I just understand it that if you have a website you get so much 'bandwidth' and depending on how many people view your site can depend on how much bandwidth you use - hence why some real busy sites exceed their bandwidths - also too, if you have images etc and people hotlink to them this also uses up bandwidth. Anyone else that can explain in more detail, please feel free 'lol' Like I said, I'm not 'that' technical. 😉

As for your question about referrals - do you mean you want to credit someone for referring you here? Or do you mean that you want to make a comment about a member already here? As the only referral system we have is when you first join and you can enter the name of the person who recommended us to you.🙂

Anyway, hope that answers all or at least some of your questions for you. 😉

Also if a lot of images are attatched to posts via the attatchment feature this uses up quite a bit of the bandwidth too.

band·width P Pronunciation Key (bndwdth, -wth)
n.
1.The numerical difference between the upper and lower frequencies of a band of electromagnetic radiation, especially an assigned range of radio frequencies.
2.The amount of data that can be passed along a communications channel in a given period of time.

Im guessing its the 2nd, a websites bandwith is the amount of people that can look at it (and with most servers they take off the site if it exceeds it). If people link images to your site it takes up your bandwith because people are constantly looking at it, on purpose or not.
