2011 Fandom Steel Cage Match March Madness

This annual event is a lot of fun - characters from many different fandoms are pitted against one another in a 'steel cage match'.

Characters from BtVS and Firefly are up in the prelims, vote for your favourite. Buffy Summers won in 2010.

You do need a livejournal to vote in the polls, and journals created during the round can't be used to vote. So if you don't already have an LJ you can't vote in the poll. But you can campaign for your favourites in the comments.

I'm fairly certain I signed up for a live journal account when I was much much younger. I think I was about 15... No idea what I would have signed up as/with...

Not really a good way to get more people into the community is it? Seems a bit cliquey to me, but I suppose they're doing it to eliminate people creating fake accounts so their favourites win.

Yeah, it's so sockpuppet journals aren't used for the voting. And I dunno about cliquey when so much of fandom in general happens on LJ.
