2013: Is the World Better?

As of 2013, is the world better for the existence of the Scoobies and their allies?

The only canon comparison I can think of is the Wishverse, so is the Buffyverse actually better now than the Wishverse would have been circa 2013?

In the Wishverse, all of the Scoobies/Champions were dead except for Giles, Oz, Wes, Doyle, Tara, Robin, Faith, Gunn, and Lorne.

The Master ruled Sunnydale, and after the Ascension, he likely would have served Mayor Wilkins, as the Order of Aurelius worshiped Old Ones.

So Sunnydale would have been a loss in the Wishverse, but as of 2013, it's destroyed altogether.

• Willow & Buffy wouldn't have upset the balance of power, so the First would still be idle
• Angel wouldn't have depleted Wolfram & Hart's resources
• Cordy wouldn't have been alive to ascend, so Jasmine wouldn't have come to Earth

Wouldn't the general status of the world be more quo without Buffy? W&H thwarted rivaling apocalypses. The Watcher's Council would still be around too. The Seed of Wonder would still exist.

I think up until the The Gift, the world was a better place for Buffy and the Scoobies. However, once they resurrected her the entire balance of good and evil was sent too far off balance and it has been downhill from there.

1996-2001: Yes.
2001-2013 (or whatever year it is inverse): No.

Gotta think though that if it werent the First it would have been some other big bad with the intention of destroying the world.

Maybe,but Buffy's being brought back from the great grave gave the opportunity for the plan of the FIRST
