2014 Holidays

So yesterday I booked up our summer holiday. So excited, going to Butlins for a week, Abbs will have a great time there as its aimed at kids 🙂

Got me thinking, have any of you planned a holiday(s) this year? If so where are you going and why? Or is it too early for you to think about holidays?

Unfortunately I am too busy this year to plan any kind of travel or trip.

The closest I've got is going to New Mexico in March to present at/attend a conference, but that's all business. Though I am thinking of staying a couple days extra so I can poke around a bit since New Mexico is all new territory to me.

I'm going on a trip in February. First gonna fly to Greece and visit Athens for a few days, then fly on to Tel Aviv and trek across Israel.


It's actually the first real trip I'm doing all by myself so I'm super psyched!

That sounds incredible! Greece and Israel are such beautiful places. I am sure you will have a great time.

The Pointys are all about the holidays this year. We're off to Prague in March, Orlando in July and cruising the Med in September/October. Jetsetters are us 😉

For the first time in my life, I may leave the country this year. I'm graduating in April so me and a few friends are planing to go to Yukon by car and then we'll go kayaking in Alaska. This is very exciting because I've always been too broke to travel, so I'm really hoping this trips works out.

Plus, going by car means that I get to go through almost all of Canada, and coming from the east, I will have seen almost all of my country hopefully by the end of the summer!

Hmm, not sure yet. I'm planning what I want to do for college this semester, but I would like to travel. I would like to go to Florida, either to go to Fest again and/or Illinois to see my friend. I went to Fest 12 last year and would like to go again this year but it depends on money/planning. btw for those who don't know, Fest is a huge punk festival.

Toronto for a weekend in August (meaning 1D concert) and maybe a small 2-3 days trip for BSB when they come back in America this summer.

Other than that I don't have money (nor the motivation) to plan anything.

Im going down south in a couple weeks. The last few months I have been doing a lot of travelling around the state for work, housesitting and holidays so I will be glad to stay home a few months after this next one!

I stay in a beautiful resort on the beach a few hours drive from home. It has everything I need and want in a holiday. It will be the middle of summer so I expect there will be a lot of lounging around the pool and long walks on the beach, as well as meals at winerys and brewerys. It will be really nice 😀

I did Butlins and Haven last year, so this year I am doing Alton Towers hotel for two nights, with my partner and our kids, and then maybe a quick and cheap holiday abroad.

I'm going to Sweden on the 22nd!!!!!!! Haha super last minute. I have a friend who lives in Uppsala and I make somewhat bizarre spur of the moment decisions sometimes...ha.

I'm goin to visit a friend in Seattle in february. That'll be the first time I set foot in the USA, I just cannot wait!
