2025 Plans

It's seasonal veg time, which means new recipes to try.

I want to get back into crafting this year, barely did any last year so want to make the effort to get back into it.

Booked a few daytrips, one with my mother to Oxford, which neither of us has been to, and another is a castle that's doing an outdoor cinema. I'll try and book something for August too, so it at least feels like I'm doing something this summer.

Oxford summer school?
Read more short stories! I've been writing quite a few of them lately but never used to read short stories, so I need to spend more time figuring out what makes a "good" short story and (more importantly, in my opinion,) what I like about short stories.

@TamsinValencia
It's a murder mystery tour, with lunch somewhere.
The pages of your Mystery Guide™ take you on an exciting puzzle adventure through the heart of historic Oxford, as you follow the maps, unlock the clues, and unravel the epic tale. Your challenge is to track down hidden objects, decode symbols, and uncover hidden messages, as you eliminate suspects and gradually unpick the crime.

sounds very exciting!
Finish rereading the Harry Potter books amd watch the films again.

Just joined WeightWatchers so lets see how 2025 goes!
Left that...
Doing a course of weight loss management called Gloji under the NHS... not going great but I've been ill so... back on it soon.

Hoping Abbs gets to stay at her job this year and for the foreseeable future.

Need to get ontop of the house.... there is reorganising to do.

Well I haven't really done much this year, did do a few day trips, but not as many as I would have liked.

Crops didn't grow well, and I didn't really try new recipes. I've still got loads of apples though so I can still do a new recipe or two with those.

Saving hasn't really happened, bought too lego instead!

Okay, looks like my intention to improve my flexibility got absolutely nowhere. At least I was doing more cardio until I hurt my foot.

A message to @Nix,
so there I was happily rebuilding the granite rock stone wall at the house my daughter is renting, (I used to build rock walls for a living), it had been badly repaired in the past so it was great fun to do properly. Plus it had been raining so the ground was muddy and before long so was I, quite muddy, so it was a good day.
But all things have to end and I eventually went home, ignoring most things here I started the computer and saw Nix's profile page had been updated to include, 'Well today went to poop.' On the outer edges of a happy day my mind was still open for a bit of humour so I looked at what Nix had written.
I soon considered and tried to discover what she might have meant:
Had her DAY gone to poop
OR
Had Nix gone to er quiet(shh) it?
For those of a sensitive nature, sorry.

What else did I find? Well my ongoing plan to ignore that Christmas was getting nearer was completely obliterated by @nightshade who wanted to know what members plans were, how could I say I wanted to ignore Christmas this year when I want to forget about Christmas, yeah naughty nightshade. I was so unimpressed I went to watch the news programs on TV!

Lol @ILLYRIAN
Glad to have entertained a bit 😉

I've started the reorganising. Done my room and have to gut the wardrobe but now working out the decor I want for it...

For the rest of this year I want to work on getting a bit fitter, finish re arranging things and getting rid of what's not needed along with maybe a few more friend meet ups and obvioulsly some Christmas planning and shopping 😀

So you want to work on getting a bit fitter, you could try gutting more wardrobes. When you say you are working out the decor do mean the 'freshly gutted' interior or the exterior of the wardrobe and would that be the use of paint or wallpaper?
A tip for getting fitter, do the Christmas shopping without planning a shopping guide, the ⛹️‍♀️running all over town technique!

Decor wise I mean the whole room so walls ceiling. I've sorted windows already. Not sure about the paint/wallpaper yet.

Christmas is always mostly planned and mostly shopped for online. However I do have a treadmill I can get on!

Now that is a wise choice, the plan for a keep fit regime, using a roller to paint the walls. There are so many exercises you can use when painting the walls. Not sure how a treadmill will help you do the painting though.

A paint roller and a treadmill enables you to get a Jackson Pollock look to the walls.
