Lists like these are, of course, a matter of taste, but I think this is decent and I certainly appreciated that the episode descriptions were written with enthusiasm by someone who clearly knew what they were talking about 🙂

I think whoever wrote it drank too much JossJuice; I've never seen E:One but there is no way Man on the Street should be at #17. Seriously.
 
I can't believe there's no Five By Five/Sanctuary, Becoming I&II, Prophecy Girl and Briar Rose. Maybe there's too many season finale in the list already. And to me, Hush would be the first. 😀
 
Not to mention OMWF is conspicuously absent even though it was rated #14 out of the top 100 tv episodes of all time(or at least up to that point in time)

OMWF is actually number 6 😉

It's a decent list.
Obviously not exactly how I would rate them but it's close enough...

Hate the number one choice good episdoe but not the best I think Smile time should be higher and I personally think that Welcome to the hellmouth should be in the list it started the whole thing off.

But like you said its all personal taste.
 
I think they just wanted to include Dollhouse since it's the newest show, but I DO NOT think it ranks anywhere near any other episode on that list. 😛
 
Okay, I haven't really seen Firefly, but is it really such a good show that 4 episodes of it get a mention on the list? Think about it, 4 episodes, that's a third of the entire show!
 
I am surprised they didnt have some of his Roseanne episodes.. Chicken Hearts - Chicken Hearts was Double Meat Palace before the Double Meat Palace!

I disagree; I think it was BECOMING that good of a show the second half.. the first handful of episodes were not that good. In my never wrong opinion. It was becoming his best show ever.
 
If i was asked to name the best, I probably wouldn\'t even consider some of these...but looking at the list, I can\'t disagree with it. Those episode are actually really good, I jsut kinda forgot how good they were.

I'm really kinda pissed that The Body got the top spot and the description that went with it was something like "...the best hour of Whedonverse and possibly of television history..." It was a good episode, but I'm not even sure it would get in my top 25!
I'm glad Epitaph One and Smile Time made it, but I'm with MinwaraYana... Sanctuary and Becoming Pt. 2 should totally have made the list.

Yes, Firefly is a fabulous show! It's what got me hooked on Joss in the first place!

Some of the Dollhouse eps are a little iffy for me (though I feel like Epitaph One should be higher up for re-establishing my love for Joss & co.) but the rest, wow. I think it's a great list, though like someone said earlier, I would have ordered it differently.

This list is pretty good overall. I've seen worse 'Best of Whedon' lists for sure.

Regarding AtS, I believe that either "Orpheous" or "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been?" deserve to be on this list. 'You're Welcome' is not the best of the series. The above formentioned two are just excellent episodes, in my opinion.

Regarding Buffy; 'The Gift' and 'The Zeppo'? Come on! I don't know...they're both great episodes, but personally, I think 'Amends' and 'Pangs' are better. But yes, it's all really just personal taste. In terms of 'Hush' and 'CWDP', those two defintely belong on the list as they're both very well-crafted and each won a award.

My biggest complaint is...where is 'Restless' in this list! The other 'unconventional' episodes like silent 'Hush', musical 'OMWF', and the musicless 'The Body' made it on there...but not the brialliant dream-scape that is 'Restless'?
