Now Halloween is over my Christmas count down starts!! I know Christmas, right? Yup, I'm really looking forward to it this year as my daughter understands more of what is going on this year and she is excited too. I've done half of my Christmas shopping and have it wrapped already. I bought my cards Monday so I just have to write them nearer the time. I don't know where my Christmas Tree is going to go this year as it is huge and I have no real space for it lol... Just need to change my banner hehe..which HisMrs is working on for me🙂 So....

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

I Don't Think So.

Where will you be this Christmas?

At Home (This Year We Have Family Driving In 🙂)

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

We celebrate by attending the Christmas Eve service at our church, by bringing all of our family together to eat way too much, by exchanging gifts that we decided many years ago would be inexpensive (the excess money goes to our church), and by simply being together for the afternoon and evening.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?

I do most of my Christmas shopping from catalogs or off of the internet, so I don't have to worry about beating any crowds. Generally I begin just before or right after Thanksgiving. My wife usually starts around the middle of the year. I have one sisterin law whose Christmas shopping is 90% finished before the end of January.

Do you like Christmas?

Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. It is the one single holiday that I have been lucky enough to have never missed spending with my family, even during my time in the Navy.

How do you decorate for Christmas?

We have the traditional colored lights and Christmas tree, plus my wife has a large collection of Nativity sets that we've collected from around the world, and enough Snow Village pieces to make a fair sized community by now.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Mainly we have what I consider the most important tradition of all, and that is that the whole family, or at least as many as possibly can, gather for a meal of epic proportions, after which all of the gifts are opened. For the last 6 years, the exact day that we celebrate Christmas has been dictated by whether our son gets his daughter on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Concerning the gifts themselves, the family gifts are opened the night BEFORE Christmas in order that the "Santa's" gifts forthe children can take top priority on the real day.

Where will you be this Christmas?

We will be either here in our home or at my wife's brother's house, depending on where the family decides to meet.

YAY, Christmas season! I do celebrate Thanksgiving, but I start getting excited for Christmas right after Halloween. I don't officially decorate or anything til Thanksgiving is over, but I start my Christmas shopping as early as possible so I am always ready. 😉 I'm with you, too, Nixxy... My little one is finally old enough to understand what goes on at Christmas, and it's adorable to go to the store and hear her getting excited to see the Christmas trees and Santa. 😉

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?
We do. We do the traditional Santa Clause thing, although we also tell our kids the story of Jesus' birth every year so they understand the REAL meaning behind the holiday. We have a tree, and we do 1 present on Christmas Eve, then the rest on Christmas morning. We also drive around and let the girls see Christmas lights on Christmas Eve night.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?
I usually start in September, but this year I only just started. I don't have as many to buy for now, as we've had deaths in the family over the years and some bad blood between us and my husband's maternal grandfather. So I can afford to start a little later these days...

Do you like Christmas?
I love Christmas. When I was a kid, Halloween was my favorite holiday, but as I've gotten older I have come to love Christmas the most. I get all excited to have time with my family, and there's something magical about looking at a Christmas tree with the lights all lit up. It relaxes me and puts me in a happy mood.

How do you decorate for Christmas?
We hang our stockings on the wall, and of course decorate the tree. We don't have a mantle or anything, so I can't really do a whole lot else, but I'm going to try to get a wreath for my door this year.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?
Yes... As mentioned above, we go looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve, then come home and open 1 gift before bed, and then my husband and I tuck the girls in and tell them the story of Jesus' birth. Then on Christmas day we get up and open gifts and and then have a big Christmas dinner with our families.

Where will you be this Christmas?
I don't know yet. We haven't decided whether we're going home for Christmas or if we're staying here and letting the family come to us. My husband will leave for a year's deployment with the Army in either February or March, and won't be home by Christmas next year, so we have to make this year as awesome as possible.

As you can see from my signature, I love Christmas and I also start the Christmas season on November 1.

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?
I decorate my room, I decorate the house, I give gifts, I make food, and most importantly, I make EVERYONE around me feel my Christmas cheer.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?
I do it all year round. When you find the prefect gift for someone, you buy it. Regardless of time of year. Christmas, to me, lasts three full months: November, December, and January. And it's in my mind pretty much all of the others.

Do you like Christmas?
I love Christmas more than I can explain. Christmas is MY holiday. I could elaborate on this, but I don't really have time, I'm supposed to be getting ready for class. But I could write an essay on how much I love Christmas.

How do you decorate for Christmas?
Well I put lights up in my room. I do that at the beginning of November. Then after Thanksgiving, mom and dad let me decorate the rest of the house, we get a tree and do lights all over the place. Not to mention, fresh holly and mistletoe. Also garland of all shapes and sizes. And then there are the wreathes. My sisters and I make wreathes

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?
We read A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote with my mom. She cries her eyes out... I do too. It's impossible for mom to not cry. She also reads the dialogue "in character" with voices... We also go to my grandfather's house with mom on Christmas eve. That's when we do the presents with the extended family and have a huge dinner. On Christmas morning we do the presents with the immediate family on mom's side and then we go to dad's in the afternoon and do the presents there when we get there. Also, shopping for a tree is a tradition too. We go with mom pretty much as soon as they're at Food Lion. Cheap, good trees if you get there soon enough. With my dad we go to the local farmer's market. Much more expensive, but we support the tree farmers directly.

Where will you be this Christmas?
I will be here, in Raleigh, NC where I live... with my family. I don't need to go anywhere. Two Christmases ago, I had the worst Christmas of my life. My dad was diagnosed with cancer on Christmas Eve. Any Christmas I get to spend not in a hospital, is in the best location ever.

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

Kind of. There are presents involved, and we eat food... 😛 I don't particularly want to "celebrate" it this year, though.
When do you start your Christmas shopping?

Depends. Usually a week or so before.

Do you like Christmas?

Again, depends. It can be fun if I go to a big party with ten or more people, but usually? No.
How do you decorate for Christmas?

If I go to my Grandma's House for it we decorate the tree, and she puts out Bethlehem decorations.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Nope!
Where will you be this Christmas?

Can't say that I know. But probably at home. Sleeping (Break! Yay!) or on the computer.

you eat food? who would've guessed! :D
There is only three good things about the Christmas Season. The best one starts tomorrow and that is the Starbucks red cups!! I think i'm actually more excited about this than I am for the day itself.

The Christmas Market that takes place every year in Princes Street Gardens, there is just something about seeing all the trees lit up and Edinburgh Castle always looks much better around all the lights.

Third is the mulled wine at said Christmas Market. Anything else, I can do without. In fact it annoys the heck out of me that Christmas decorations/gifts/lights are up before Halloween.

Starbucks red cups karma! :D
Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?
Yes, we also have a party at our house where my grandparents come over and eat dinner, and after that we watch Miracle On 34th Street (the Natalie one) and Santa Clause Is Coming To Town. And on Christmas Day, I celebrate with my parents families.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?
A couple weeks before Christmas or even the week of Christmas.

Do you like Christmas?
YES! It's my favorite holiday and it ties with Halloween 🙂

How do you decorate for Christmas?

My dad puts lights on our house. We decorate our Christmas tree once my parents put the tree up and we put out stockings and Christmas glass dolls on one of the living room tables.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Yes, on Christmas we have ham for lunch and turkey for dinner. And before the actual holidays we sometimes watch Christmas movies.

Where will you be on Christmas?

My grandparents (mom's side) house for lunch and my aunt and uncle's (dad's side) house for dinner.

OMG I thought I was the only one!!!! lol

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

Well I am Puerto Rican. So Christmas for us lasts 2 months...kinda lol we do the regular Christmas thing and then in January, we do the three kings Day thing, which involves even more present s😀😀

When do you start your Christmas shopping?

I try to do the black friday thing. But then I see all these people and I get scared lol So I do my shopping online as soon as I can.

Do you like Christmas?

I love Christmas!!! The only thing that sucks about it is that my bday is ten days before, so people tend to make my bday gift the xmas gift as well, so i feel ripped off hahaha MORE PRESENTSSSSSSS!!!

How do you decorate for Christmas?

I don't really decorate. The tree is what is most important to me. My cousin died during Christmas, so I always go all out on my tree in his honor.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Family traditions of course. At midnight we were aloud to open just one gift. and then at 8 am we opened the rest. Sadly, I could never wait until 8 am hahaha We also make our own egg nogg Puerto rican style and make rice pudding (omg i want some now!!!!)

Where will you be this Christmas?

More than likely at home. Or working. I'm a slave =/

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

You bet I do. I loooooove Christmas. My family and I go all out.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?

As soon as I have money lol From November on I'm generally shopping for presents.

Do you like Christmas?

I adore it.

How do you decorate for Christmas?

Our whole house basically looks like Christmas threw up on it. We do the huge tree with all the decorations and lights, the garland etc etc. I'm fairly sure there is a picture of our tree up here somewhere. From when I was looking after the BB Store. I'll see if I can route it out.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Loads! I usually work Christmas Eve but we are normally left off early and I go and meet my entire family (cousins, uncles, aunts...the whole shebang) in one of our locla pubs. We all have a drink together and then head home. My mother usually has the turkey cooking in the oven so our house smells divine! We normally play one of the old classic Christmas albums and all the neighbours tend to wander in and out of each other's houses wishing each other Happy Christmas. In Ireland, after the 9 o'clock news you see Santa setting off from the North Pole and that is when all the kids are told to go to bed, so I usually ring my neice then and tell her to hurry up and get to bed or else Santa will have to pass her by! (I am an evil aunt!) After that it all winds down, we usually watch a film and finish and last minute wrapping and then hit the hay. We are all grown up now but my father still has to be the first person down the stairs and he has to open the sitting room door first. We open all our presents and then get ready for Mass. After Mass, we go to my grand mother's house, then we visit all my uncles houses. After that we go to the graveyard to visit my grandparents and extended families graves. (I don't know if this is an Irish thing or not? I've never met people from anywhere else that do this). Then we go back home and whoever is having dinner at ours will have arrived, we usually have a pretty big crowd. We do the huge dinner and then all pass out lol That night all my Dad's side of the family come to my house and we have a party and a sing song.

Where will you be this Christmas?

At home, as usual. I wouldn't be anywhere else. 🙂

About a week to a day before.

No school. Presents and lots of food. The possibility of seeing family. What's not to love?

How do you decorate for Christmas?
We just decorate our fake tree and put a wreath on the door.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?
My family pretty much spends the entire Christmas season baking. So there's always loads of good stuff to eat. And, on Christmas Eve we do the open one present thing and stay up late watching a Christmas movie.

Where will you be this Christmas?
No clue. Now, most of my family lives far away and they like to plan stuff at the last minute, so I don't know if I'll be visiting anybody or having Christmas by myself.

I adore christmas!! The lights and all the decorations will help me with my photography! Score! haha.
I have no idea what i'm doing this year, it doesn't really matter, it's just the christmassy feeling i love. 🙂

I am so excited for Christmas this year. My son is a year and even though he won't really understand I cain't wait to get pictures with santa and just go all out for him.

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Where will you be this Christmas?
Back in Tennessee with my husbands family for a bit then at my home doing my first christmas my way 🙂

Thanks to the choir I'm in my christmas feeling is coming early this year. Time flies so we've already started practising for our christmas performances. All this is not close to being serious or big but still the practics is needed. Half of us can't sing so it's all very interesting. Not sure what the audience will think though.

Do you celebrate Christmas in any way?

Yes. See further below on how.

When do you start your Christmas shopping?
As early as possible. This year I only have to buy one. I think. Not sure how we do with my nephew since he's now 18. It might sound boring but since we're all (almost) old enough now we collect money and give to charity instead of just buying ourselves more things. Sure, gifts are fun but I feel this is more in christmas spirit. No way I'd seen things that way when I was a teen.

Do you like Christmas?
Both yes and no.

Stress, shopping craze and all the "musts" people often put on themselves I hate. Maybe I should be clear about the fact that I don't mind Christmas gifts at all. I just think most people take it too far and since I know a lot of people feeling so bad about not having enough money to spend to keep up or maybe even just give more than something really small doesn't help how I feel. But a family giving gifts to each other, sitting around the tree and seeing the joy in children's eyes is wonderful.

Being all christmasy I like though. But to me Christmas is now about seeing family, relax and having a good time.

How do you decorate for Christmas?

Depends. Some years it's nothing but some candlesticks since I'm not home for Christmas anyway. Sometimes it's more or less everything I got. Loads of Santas, candles, Christmas tree, some creshes and more. Got some pics from last year but will spare you the bad quality.

Do you have any family traditions at Christmas?

Not that many any more. But usually the family meet, have lunch, the kids and some adults watch Donald Duck wishes a Merry Christmas (it's a Swedish thing), some relaxing and then opening the gifts that are to be opened. Lunch is of course julbord

Where will you be this Christmas?

Since I haven't got an invite yet I can't say for sure but most likely at my parents house.

Where will you be this Christmas?

1. I celebrate with my family. We have dinner, and then open presents.
2. I begin my Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally known as, "Black Friday". This year, I'm strapped for cash, so I'm gonna have to get creative.
3. I love Christmas!
4. Tree. That's it.
5. We each open one present on Christmas Eve. Don't know how that will work this year because Mom and I aren't close to each other's houses, and my brothers are in California.
6. Physically, Ohio. Mentally? California with my twin. I'm really going to miss him around the holidays. He always cheers me up.
