Day 24 : Most underrated Bangel episode ?

Bad Eggs! I love this episode, ok! It has lovely and cute Bangel moments and I hate to see it at the bottom of everyone's list.

Ok, it's not AMAZING, but definitely not as bad as most people say it is and we have this :

Day 24 : Most underrated Bangel episode ?
I agree with everything that's been said about 'Ted' and 'Bad Eggs' - and I loved your comments on 'Choices' @dcai0830 . I'm gonna put in a shout out for 'Consequences' because of this scene:

Buffy: How's she doing?

Angel: It's like talking to a wall. Only you get more from a wall.

Buffy: But you'll keep trying, right?

Angel: Sure. We're just getting started.

Buffy: So, what do I do?

Angel: Look, right now, there's nothing that you can do.

Buffy: Well, this could take awhile, right? (goes to the stairs) So,
I'll just go to Faith's and I'll get some of her stuff. That way she'll
see that we're on her side.

Angel: That's a good idea.

Buffy: Okay. (glances at Faith) I'll be back.

Angel: Look, I... I don't want you to get your hopes up, Buffy. She may
not want us to help her.

Buffy: She does. She just doesn't know how to say it.

Angel: She killed a man. That changes everything for her.

Buffy: (shakes her head) Giles said with counseling, they might not
even need to lock her up.

Angel: That's not what I mean. She's taken a life.

Buffy: I know.

Angel: She's got a taste for it now.

I like that it's not about their relationship but about how they work together to try and help someone else. It shows how in tune they are with each other: Angel understands Buffy's desperation to help Faith and she trusts him to keep trying to get through to her. I love how Buffy's reaching for something to do so suggests getting Faith's stuff, and though Angel knows it won't make much difference he doesn't say so. He encourages her because he knows she needs it.
 
Day 24 Most underrated Buffy/Angel episode?
I would have to say Enemies. Not only is it fun to watch with intrigue going in but we get to see Buffy and Angel both going undercover. It is a rare glimpse. It would have been great to have more episodes like that.

For me it's "Beauty and the Beast". I have rarely seen a positive review of this episode when I do not find it so bad. I really like Bangel in this episode, especially everything around the parrallel between them and Debbie / Pete. Then I love all the conversation between Mr.Pratt and Buffy about Angel. I wish the shrink had lasted longer. And finally, I love the Buffy-Angel confrontation and their respective reactions. The only complaint I have to make is that for the return of Angel I had imagined something more extraordinary but the emotion is there for me :

My only complaint is she found Angel wearing pants. He was so out of it there's no way it wasn't done because it was early BtVS.

Tough one. I honestly don't know. Not Xander because he is jealous of Angel. Not Giles because of Jenny's murder. Not Joyce because the way Angelus told her he has slept with her daughter. Not Oz, him and Angel never seem very friends for me. Not Faith because she has a crush on Angel and she is jealous of Buffy. Not Tara, not Anya, they don't know Angel. Dawn Knows him but we didn't see a single moment between them. So Willow I guess 😵 she probably have more love for Angel than the rest of the SG.

Day 25 : Which character do you feel supports Bangel the most ?

Well, Willow is the obvious answer, until season 3 I guess. Wesley was always very understanding and respectful of Buffy and Angel's romance and what it meant to Angel.

That doesn't bother me so much, Buffy and Angel do have a rather star crossed lovers situation. There is no denying it. But Wesley has on a few occasions expressed understanding at how special Buffy and Angel's love was and held their relationship to the appropriate pedestal for example:

- Eternity: Wesley says: “Angel’s moment of true happiness occurred because he was with Buffy. You realize how rare that is – true happiness?"
- Sanctuary he is sympathetic to Angel after the Buffy fight and knows he wants to go after here to make it better.
- His understanding of what Angel needed after Buffy died "He doesn't need a lap dance. He needs some peace and quiet to work through this."
- He re-emphasizes that he understands the curse is greater than just sex in Smile Time which I think gives respect to Bangel.

I feel like I'm missing some stuff here but generally those are the ones that come to mind.
 
[Nov 30] Day 25 : Which character do you feel supports Bangel the most ? This is tricky, because it changes between pre and post-Angelus.

Pre-Angelus, I would say Willow is the most supportive, she is always very enthusiastic about the relationship and is often shown encouraging Buffy to pursue Angel and reassuring Buffy when she gets insecure (such as in Halloween or Reptile Boy).

Post-Angelus, obviously all the Scoobies are very wary of Angel and of his and Buffy's relationship (can you blame them?) and so I would say post-Angelus no one is very supportive.

Over on AtS both Doyle and (for the most part) Wes are very understanding of Angel's history with Buffy and have both pointed out the significance of the relationship to other characters, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they support the relationship, more that they understand the significance of it.

Willow, even though it's sort of by default.
 
Man question 25 is sorda making me see that there weren't too many people supporting the Angel / Buffy relationship huh?

Definitely Willow. Even during the Angelus arc Willow was more supportive of Buffy during that time. She wanted to use the spell to restore Angel's soul, was the one who told Angel Buffy died, and that she was alive again. Willow always held out the hope the two of them would stay together.
 
Day 26 : Name the thing you admire the most about them ?

I admire the depth of their connection, but mostly the peace and contentment they seem to feel around each other. There's unfortunately a lot of drama and pain with Buffy and Angel, but in their quieter moments they feel perfectly at ease in each other's presence. It's during a lot of their smaller, stolen moments they manage to be comfortable in their own skin because of the other's love. I like that a lot.
 
Day 26: Name the thing you admire the most about them.

I most admire the way they are equal partners who work together as a seamless unit (and all that walking in step that's probably going to me my new favorite thing to notice when I rewatch). At this point, I'd probably change my answer from way back at the beginning of the thread about which season I prefer—I'd probably say S3 now that I've thought about it.

I'm not sure if this question is aimed at the characters separately or as a couple so I'll do both. I admire both Buffy and Angel because they are separately heroic characters. They are certainly flawed, neither of them is perfect. But they are committed to the fight and to they understand the weight and responsibility of their duty comes first above all else, above their love for each other. That is admirable.

I admire them as a couple because as @Taaroko says they are a team. They work well together. They are extremely protective of one another and loyal to each other above all else.
