I'm struggling between Welcome to the Hellmouth, Anne and The Freshman.
I think you need The Harvest to really appreciate Welcome to the Hellmouth, so it's either Anne, or The Freshman.
I'm going with The Freshman, I liked Sunday and Xander's return and talk with Buffy.

I actually thing the seasons premieres are the shows weak point.
It might have something to with me binge watching the show and always watched the season premieres with an amazing season finale in fresh memory. lol

Have a soft spot for S7 Lessons. Just for the restart feeling it got.
But I think I will go with Anne for one of the most iconic moments and fight scene in the entire show.

Buffy vs Dracula. Such an underrated gem, I love the cheesiness and the way it plays with the mythology of Dracula.

I was also torn between this and Welcome to the Hellmouth...in the end, I went for which episode I've watched the most times. Absolutely loved the fight scene when I was younger and that great shot of Buffy. Also think it may be the only time Buffy says she is a vampire slayer with real pride and sass...and I love the way she delivers it to the demon.

I disagree about the season premieres being weak...I thought S1-5 were all great.

I can't believe I said S1-5 and forgot this!
I kind of get that. A lot of the charm of the show is cast chemistry, and the premieres usually omit that in favor of the Scoobies being separated during the summer. Which is... Weird, but I suppose that is what the audience is feeling. It also begs the question, what is a great season premiere? Lessons or Freshman is a very different episode than v. Dracula.

When she was Bad
I think the fact they dealt with the fallout of Prophecy Girl rather than just moving on was a sign the show was maturing, and the scenes where Buffy smashes the Master's bones to bits and then broke down was really powerful.

Day 2: Favourite Buffy quote

Just reading that quote still moves me every time
