Hee, it's adorable. Made me love Xander even more than I already am. My favorite was number 9, love Xander's "cool" dancing.

This is a positive thread about celebrating Xander's good moments. How would you feel like if someone started a positive thread listing the great moments of your favorite character and then someone jumped in a negative moment?

There were definitely some moments in there I had forgotten about. The whole "We're doomed" one comes to mind now. 😉
 
Guys, people are entitled to their own opinions whether positive or negative. Try and remember that not every person has to love your favorite character.

I understand that, but when a thread is clearly here to celebrate a character, it's annoying that people stop in just to bash the character.

Honestly? Xander's actions get far too much hate there and are completely understandable. Yes, Buffy, kick the ass of someone who murdered classmates, Jenny and tortured your freakin' Watcher. Angelus had to go. There is no time for waiting around for Willow. Stalling is out of the question and is incredibly risky. Buffy didn't kill Angelus in Innocence, Passion, Becoming, Go Fish.

Yes people are entitled to their opinions. And no one is asking for 'every person' to 'love your favourite character'. We're not close minded elitists. It's a matter of respect. This is clearly a character-love thread. Most people respect that. I despise Spuffy with a fiery passion, but you don't see me go onto their love threads and post clearly negative comments. If this was a thread about a characters actions, then its clearly different and I am all up for debate.

Than don't, I don't care. While you're being all up tight go to that website and moan at the person who added number 19 "You can come across like an idiot" because calling Xander an idiot is just as bad as me calling him a D-bag minus the gif to go with it.

Okay, so I'm 'all up tight' note there is a difference between 19 and kick his ass. 19 is clearly a comedic scene, whereas kick your ass is taken so seriously within the fandom. Secondly, there is a difference between Buzzfeed and clearly a thread that's love for a character. Buzzfeed can do it. Different contexts.

The thread is "32 Ways You Can Relate to Xander" not "32 Things We love About Xander". It's why every gif has "you" or "your" in the title, not "he" or "Xander", what my comment said was no different - "Sometimes you act like a D-Bag", As in we too can be D-bags like Xander has shown to be. If I used a comedic/good natured scene of him acting like one i'm sure everyone would have still been offended, because it seems i'm the only one in this thread that actually understood the purpose of Buzzfeed's gifs.

Oh trust me, you are not the only one who understood the purpose of the gifs. I found your inital comment, which I am talking about, as against this thread. I was then, taken aback when you went on to say 'get over it'. Your comment did come across as antagonistic.

And there is a gigantic difference between a good natured scene and a dramatic one, to set the tone for the article. A 'kick his ass' comment would have destroyed the feeling that Buzzfeed were setting out. And I'll state it again: I fail to see anything douchey about Kick His Ass.
 
Okay guys, lets take a step back and breathe. There's no need to let a slight misunderstanding get blown out of proportion, sometimes we have a different idea of what is funny and what isn't, that's okay. Let's focus on the purpose of the thread - relating to Xander Harris, in a non-confrontational way. 🙂


Personally I had a hard time picking a favorite gif. I thought they were all pretty awesome. Perhaps 6 was the best one IMO 😉 But they were all golden and made me all gooey inside, not just for Xander but for the show in general.

Lol, love 13! I think I quote 22 a lot though... It makes me and my sis crack up 🙂 number 20 pops up quite often as well
