I take it you all have seen it... *lol* I didnt like it. It went the day before yesterday and I liked the first lines but then there became a huge no no on the episode.... I dont know why I dont like it... *Riley is a huge candidate for the reason 😉 *

I didn't mind it, but it wasn't my favourite episode or anything. I think that is mostly because, yes, Riley 🙂, but also because it was the first episode where Buffy wasn't at home, they weren't at the school anymore 🙁 and Giles kind of dismissed her. I missed Angel, even Cordelia when it came on...
 
Did Buffy ever dust the vamp that came out of the ground behind them in the opening? I can't recall her doing so, but I've been known to be wrong. If not, does he ever show again?
 
I saw that episode yesterday, and it's kinda sad I think. Everything is changed and people missing. Don't they ever talk about where Cordelia and Wesley went?
And you know, they weren't at home, and Buffy seemed so lost. The good thing though is how grown up Willow became over the summer! Especially in style.
 
It was interesting to see Buffy and Willow's roles reversed. In high school Buffy was the confident one who everyone knew but it college Willow was more at ease. I thought the main vamp Sunday was really funny. She gave better comments than Buffy usually does. Overall, I thought it was a good episode.
 
I seem to be the only person alive who absolutely HATED Sunday. I just found her a very annoying person in a very annoying episode. The season improved a lot though, especially toward the end.

I didn't like her either...I just wanted Buffy to kill her, and fast! lol
 
I quite liked "The Freshman". A lot of good lines from Buffy, and I liked the Xander-Buffy dynamic in it. I think it's one of the better season openers Buffy has had. In fact, it's probably second only to Buffy vs. Dracula
 
I also like this episode.

Strange not having Cordelia around. And it was a good point made by Jules. Buffy was so alone and afraid. She was so good at being Buffy and juggling high school and slaying that she didn't wanna have to adjust to a new place. It also makes sense for the role reversial since Buffy outshined Willow academically in Psych 101. Buffy just needs to apply herself more.

Sunday was an ok villian I thought. Really helped Buffy get into the swing of things when she kicked her but the first time. But Buffy got back to being herself and kicked the crap outta her.

On a scale of the other season openers it would hafta rate at about the 4th best (1. Lessons, 2. When she was bad and 3. Anne)
