For the Doctor, who's first venture began November 23rd 1963,
just don't ask Dr. Who.

I cannot wait for this!! I fell asleep last night watch some of the 10th Doctor episodes. BBC-America is having an entire Who week! I have recorded some of the specials but I don't know when I'll get the chance to watch them. Did you guys see that
Tom Baker
will also be guest starring? Did you watch the webisode that featured
the 8th Doctor
?

I'm not a Dr who fan, but I remember seeing the movie "Dr Who And The Daleks" back in the 60's.

I always thought that the series was based on the movie, which would have made Cushing the original Who, but according to wikipedia, it was the other way around.

Hmm, I wonder how this film (& the next one, Daleks- Invasion Earth 2150 AD) fit into the canon. Wikipedia says "The film was not intended to form part of the ongoing storylines of the television series. Elements from the programme were used, however, such as various characters, the Daleks and a police box time machine, albeit in re-imagined forms" and "Both are retellings of existing television stories (specifically, the first two Dalek serials, The Daleks and The Dalek Invasion of Earth respectively) with a larger budget and alterations to the series concept." Besides the fact that Peter Cushing's character is called "Doctor Who"- that is not the Doctor's name- and he is not numbered.
