Yesterday I reflected on how lazy I've become while I was lying on a bench and enjoying the sun and I thought: "I'm bored. I need to do new interesting things!"

I wondered what do you do for fun? This is a great way to get to know each other because even though there are universal ways to have fun such as : listening to music and watching television, etc, etc which we've all heard everyone has their own unique touch to what's fun and enjoyable.

Me? I think what I enjoy best is this:

1) Making art wallpapers - when I get into this creative mood I can really get obsessed with days lol It's wonderful to dive into your own imaginary world and give it a material form. *sighs*

2) Playing pool - it's a game I love playing because it give me the thrills when I do the exact stroke and I win 😀 If you are in a really big company and you play in teams, for example boys n girls, it's the greatest pleasure to beat the boys!

So, any ideas about a third way of having fun? :coolman:

I dance around in the house, dancing like nobody is watching is always fun!

and I enjoy making long walks in the company of my ipod

and when I'm with friends I love boardgames... the regular ones and the not so regular ones (I love Machiavelli)

lol the last time I went to the gym there was noone else but me and I went all kung fu and did some sexy dancing too hehe. Thanks God noone came in!
I love playing with my son or just holding him in my arms.

I also enjoy scrapbooking. I have 2 1/2 albums completed so far.

I make candles.

I also like watching movies, going for a walk, taking a drive, shopping in thrift stores or flea markets and reading.

I love going for walks in the rain...well I go for walks when it's not raining but I prefer walks in the rain.

I also like mucking around with my camera and taking random shots of things.

I like both of those things, too!
surf the internet (and the Buffy board of course) is the first thing i do when i'm bored.
driving in the car with the ipod pumping is also fun - though expensive because of the cost of petrol.

1. ok every one is going to sooo think i'm some kinda creep BUT flirting with girls on the internet - no word of a lie, it's a lot of fun!

2. episodes of the Buff, Angel, Firefly, Veronica Mars, How I Met Your Mother, Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill etc etc

3. Comic Book Stores are always really cool to take a look at and now with trade paperbacks you don't even really have to be a collector to buy something

4. Re-design the layout of my room.

5. and this is the no 1 thing to do when i'm bored (ignore the no. 5) DRINK!

I like going to Buffy Boards, buying and or looking at Buffy action figures. I like reading, attempting at graphic art, writing, but the real thing I do when I'm bored is drink iced tea and watch TV. Idk why. Lol.

Definately going to the boards here helps me get away of the boredom 😀 Oh, I forgot! The last month the greatest fun I've got was watching all the series Spike was ( though on some I cried but hey it's part of the magic 🙂 ).

StuckinTraffic: I wanted to ask how do you make candles? You decorate them or you make umm their essence? I meant to ask that in the reputation comment but I pushed the button accidentally *blushes"

^^^ I've done that before, too. Darn Enter button is too easy to get to!

I mostly make jar or container candles. Melt the wax, add the fragrance oil, put a wick in the container and pour. When it's cool, it's a candle! I love candles, and I had wanted to learn to make them forever. When I was out of work a couple years ago, a friend's mom offered to teach me! I helped her out in her business, and I got to learn to make candles and take them home with me, so it worked out rather well! Been making them ever since.

It's always good if someone's teaching you the techniques! It makes it even more special :) I've always wanted to do sculptures or ceramics but never took the course;probably because there are dozens of other things I have to do lol
I've discovered I like baking...I don't know why but lately I've been baking scones, cakes, cookies...

And I live by myself so it's not like I need the excess food. It's almost like I've only just discovered the fun of having an oven or something.

But it's kinda fun, mainly because I laugh at the fact that I have the tendancy to get flour everywhere (this is, of course, before I realise that I've got to clean the mess up after the baking). :lmao:

So yeah....baking is fun.

Oh, I love cooking as a whole but I don't have the necessary equipment aka oven, fridge, etc to bake or to do something more special. One would think that for three years in my college room I would have bought those hehe. But when I'm at home I challenge myself with new recipes. Last time was this very delicious Bavarian cream with lots of chocolate and walnuts. Mmmmmm

I hardly ever bake to a recipe :lmao:

It's terrible actually, I usually just mix stuff together until it looks like the consistency I think it could look like then I stick it in the oven and hope for the best. Thankfully, most of the time it does work out.

Although there is a bake-off going on in the office next week...I'm hoping to kick butt with mars bar muffins. Hmmmmm......
