Teaser:

Buffy goes patrolling in England on her first night and gets attacked by a vampire, but is surprised when she is rescued by another slayer.

The next day, Buffy tells Giles about the new slayer and he asks her to find out more about her. Giles says he will go talk to the remaining people at the watchers council about possibly re-setting up the council.

Willow meanwhile decides to explore the local magic shops with Kennedy and finds not many around there exist. She goes to the coven to seek help but finds that one of the members was recently killed by a demon. While talking they mention the amount of power Willow now holds.

Xander and Andrew set up the house, although they don?t really want to. Dawn promised them that she?d help but instead goes to town with some newly made friends.

Buffy finds the new slayer the next night, in the same graveyard, explains the situation. She says that they came from Sunnydale to help set up a new watchers council with Giles. The slayer seems nonchalant about it and Buffy asks for her to come visit Giles so he can go over the watchers routine.

Giles at the watchers council finds out that they don?t want to help him, because he affiliated himself with a vampire. He argues that he has helped Buffy, the longest living Slayer, raised a hell of a load of potentials and get rid of the first evil. They are quick to say that the first evil cannot be killed.

Back at home Giles and Willow exchange stories and try to decide what to do. Giles will set up a new watchers council and Willow researches the demon that attacked the coven member. Buffy returns with the new slayer and Giles proudly announces that this is their first new Slayer and gives her Andrew as her watcher. Both Andrew and the slayer are surprised, she feels she doesn?t need a watcher and Andrew never expressed any interest in having a watcher.

Xander and Willow meanwhile are researching alone and the conversation shifts to Anya and Willow tries to console him on loosing a loved one. She hints that she doesn?t like Kennedy as much but feels bad about that fact.

Dawn meanwhile is with her friends at night when they are attacked by a vampire, her friends are scared but Dawn stakes them without much hesitation. Her friends are shocked by what they have seen and Dawn tries to downplay it.

Andrew and the slayer eventually agree for Andrew to be her ?part-time watcher? and they set off to their first training patrolling together.
Giles meanwhile finds out some frightening news, a Slayer has killed someone in Zimbabwe. Willow finds out the demon that attacked the coven is a [insert demon name] and she goes to tell the coven but when she gets there it is being attacked. Willow phones Buffy to help but by the time Buffy gets there Willow has managed to kill the demon. The coven thanks her for her help and asks her to come back tomorrow.

On the way home Buffy asks Willow why she called her. Willow says she isn?t sure but she always thought she needed Buffy?s help in fighting but it turns out she is competent enough.

Xander discovers that he and Anya never closed their joint bank account after they broke up, and Anya put all the money she stole in there. Xander decides he wants to help Giles and the new watchers council.

Dawn quickly finds herself without any of her friends, they are all scared by the ?vampire thing? and Dawn returns home, feeling as if she?ll never settle in to England.

Kennedy moans at Willow for calling Buffy rather then her, saying she is a Slayer as well. Willow tries to defend herself but Kennedy is stubborn and it turns into an argument. Kennedy sleeps on the sofa that night.

The next day Willow returns to the coven and after being re-thanked they offer her a place. They say that in the coven she will wield the strongest magic and do good for everyone but Willow says she is flattered but says ?being a Goddess once is enough.? They seem upset but promise to help Willow if she needs it.

Andrew and the new slayer argue over timetabling and Andrew gets all huffy. Giles tells him that there will be conflicts but how he deals with them distinguish his quality as a watcher. Dawn hangs out with the new slayer because Dawn can tell that she is getting annoyed with Andrew.

Xander asks Giles about how he can help, and Giles tells him he could do with someone to go to Africa. Xander is shocked but then realises there is nothing holding him back and agrees to go and see if he can teach the other Slayer what being a Slayer means.

Willow and Kennedy half make up, mainly for the sake of not fighting any more. Then Xander tells the gang he is off to Africa. Buffy, Willow and Dawn get all upset and Buffy mentions it?s the first time that the gang have been separated in seven years. Xander is quick to say ?except all those summers you ran off for.? Buffy smiles and they all come close to crying but Xander reassures everyone that he will be back.
