Written by Doug Petrie, penciled by Georges Jeanty, inked by Andy Owens, colored by Michelle Madsen, covers by Jeanty and Jo Chen.

Doug Petrie, formerly a writer and director on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series, joins Buffy Season Eight with "Living Doll." The spell little Dawnie got whacked with by the Thricewise demon she angered just keeps . . . evolving. First, she's a giant; then, she's a centaur; now, she's a . . . what?! Buffy, ever busy saving the world, will finally have to take action regarding her little sis when Dawn's mysterious disappearance makes it a priority. At least, she better be in some sort of danger, or Buffy's going to kick her butt for wasting precious time acting like an attention-seeking teen -- which is what Dawn is, after all.

40 pages, $2.99, in stores on May 6.

I think I'll be going with the Jeanty cover this time.

Although Dawn does look worryingly hot in the Chen one...

So is she back to full size, or is the hentai tentacle monster doll-sized? Or is this a flashback scene and that's Kenny? Three eyes/thricewise?

Yeah, I was thinking it was a flashback scene.
Jeanty definitely.

Dawn is really beautiful in Chen's one, the landscape too, but that monster? No use.

Dawn's always been worryingly hot, you should be used to it by now.
And i'm guessing if that's Kenny, it's his true form which he hid from Dawn

Like i said, he probably has a human form too that he uses around people. i mean, you'd notice THAT walking around college, wouldn't you? And besides, didn't we already see a pic of Kenny?

Yeah, I think they were at a party of something? I am just a little thrown by the whole get-a-roomyness of the cover.

Well can't accuse Buffy of ever endorsing under-age sex. Both Summers' ladies beaus turned into monsters the morning after.

How long is this after S6? She was fifteen then, right? And if she met him in Scotland, then she'd be perfectly entitled to be all get-a-roomy. :silly: Or did the comshucking happen in LA? Why am I asking so many questions about this?

I think the one at the party was Kenny's roommate, i was talking about the picture that Xander found just before that flashback

Put in mind that Dawn didn't believe Buffy and the others when they'd warned her about Kenny being a Thricewise. He was a regular looking boy when she met him and dated him. Kinda like Oz/werewolf.
 
The fact she was a freshman in college indicates we can assume Dawn is 18 now.

I have to say, that Chen cover is the single most erotic image yet in a season just chock full of erotic images.

(Well, except for Buffy and Satsu the second time. And the first time. And Willow naked and having an orgasm as she goes to see Saga Vasuki. And Faith in the bath with Gigi. And Dawn bathing. And... and...)

Um...Ok? I love Jo Chen's artwork too much not to get this cover, but I perfer the Jeanty one SO much more. I have every Chen cover, I don't want to spoil it just because this one gives me the wiggins.

But it's creepy, lol.
 
What the deuce? The mouth on that thing. Oh, and the tentacles, and the eyes. But the mouth.: erm :
 
That is seriously disturbing...and yet stangely Intriguing.
I'm glad that Dawn's problem is finally going to get some proper attention though.
 
Thanks to Jo Chen, Dawn is the hottest girl in the series, that's... unexpected!

Anyway, the thricewise looks interesting. I'm glad that we're finally getting into the reason behind this story-arc.
 
Jo Chen is great and I make a point to buy the issues with her covers. But this is a bit disturbing. It's beautifully drawn but I might have to go with Georges this time. Eck.

And guys, Dawn didnt comshuck with Kenny but she comshucked with his roomate, remember?
 
I like the Chen cover. Dawn looks like she's in heaven...i would be too....those tentacles must work wonders.
