ANGEL: AFTER THE FALL #15

Written by Joss Whedon and Brian Lynch, art by Franco Urru, covers by Urru and Alex Garner.

Over a year ago, they were sent to hell. Lives were changed. Friends became mortal enemies. But now they're all reunited, and unsurprisingly, it is not going well. Friends will die, Los Angeles will fall, and the end of everything Angel holds dear is at hand.

32 pages, $3.99.

If you think this description doesn't contain any new information... read the first four words again. Over a year ago!?!?! The beginning of A:AtF they'd been in hell for a few months; three if I remember correctly. Did the editor who wrote the blurp make a mistake? Or will there be a big jump in time in one of the upcoming issues?

They're probably talking about the "over a year" since ATF Issue #1 was published rather than the actual time spent in hell.

:s maybe you have a point... how silly that i didn't think of that.

Could also be that the time outside of hell goes faster than the time in hell, and it's been over a year to the outside world

Friends will become mortal enemies?

Gunn is already a mortal enemy

I hope Lorne won't become an enemy.

On his blog, Brian posted a picture of a gravestone. Supposedly, one or more characters will die in this issue. Any ideas as to who?

Fred, Wes, Gwen or Connor

Either Fred will get seperated from Illyria and dies
Wes gets released from his contract and dies
or Gwen and Connor make up and then one of them dies

Just so that we don't get a happy couple

I think there are a lot of options we can scratch out already. Connor can't die... they just wouldn't, he is too important to Angel. Angel is already dead, so it's not him either. Spike won't be it either cause he's just been resurrected little over a year earlier. Wesley is pivotal to W&H plans, so I'm guessing he's going to be around for the big finale. It's the same with Gunn. Cordelia (the Power) is sort of already dead, or at least doesn't have a corporeal form, to snuff out her essence just seems wrong... they wouldn't have brought her back just to hurt her fans even more.

Given that both the covers to issue 14 as well as 15 indicate a large role and a possible big change in Illyria; either her or Fred could be done for.

Since Gwen, Nina, Lorne, Spider, and Groo are all minor characters (in this story) I think a number of them could be about to take their last breaths. I especially fear that there's very little story left to tell about her singing green friend.

Who will die? Maybe Gwen because she seems to be a bit of a traitor. And Gunn (unless he's going to be a ongoing bad guy). Wesley may also somehow get released from his perpatuity clause too.

Connor, Angel, Spike, and Illyria are safe, I would imagine.

Fred and/or Groo. Both got it in for themself. Fred got shot, Groo on his way to fight the dragons. This can't be good for either of them.
