So I haven't watched this show in at least a year but have been refreshing my memory by watching the few episodes I can find online. I just finished 'When She Was Bad' (I hated Buffy in that one lol. think that was the point though)

My question is.. which season 2 episode did Buffy & Angel officially get together? You can obviously see it building up throughout the first season and the beginning of S2, but when did it become official? I used to know this show inside and out, can't believe I forgot so much! Answers would be good =) Thanks.

I would have said definitely by 'Halloween'. That's their first kiss of season two anyway, but between from the end of the 'Reptile Boy' until this point its pretty much obvious.

Yeah I would say Halloween to because in that episode they share their first kiss in season 2. In Reptile Boy we just see how Angel is jelaous and that is cute 🙂

i always thought they became official right at the end of prophecy girl in season 1. then she went away and came back and the first person she went to see was angel and not the scoobies.....could have been in some fan fic i read....lol

Okay...I always thought they became official at the end of 'Angel'? When they kissed in public (the Bronze), with full knowledge of who the other one was and after that whole Buffy trying to kill Angel was resolved.

This suddenly brought a quote to my mind....anyone remember what episode Giles said "A vampire in love with the slayer? that's rather poetic." ? Cos at that point I'm guessing it would be official at latest.

That quote is from 'Out of Mind, Out of Sight' when Angel takes the Codex to Giles.

It's not official by this point however, the reason Angel goes to see Giles in 'secret' is because he can't be around Buffy. This is also why then at the end of this episode, when Buffy asks who got them out of the boiler room thing, they say a janitor and not Angel.

I would argue that they are definitely not 'together' at the end of season one, or up until maybe the end of 'Reptile Boy'. Buffy accepts the 'date' from that Tom guy so she obviously isn't anything that would be classed as an official relationship.

And I'd say, when they kiss at the end of 'Angel' its not so much a public 'we're together' but just a nod that they do have feelings for one another but they still have a lot of challenges ahead, and if I remember rightly its kind of a 'kiss goodbye' almost; they realise they have issues in being together but they still want to show their feelings for each other.

Honestly their first date was Halloween wasnt it? Because Buffy asks him for Coffee in Reptile Boy then Angel basically says date and they babble... fast foward to the end of Reptile Boy Angel asks Buffy for coffee.... she says sometime. Then Halloween they had their first date though Buffy was late and didn't stay long. 🙂

Yeah :) but in the end they share a kiss and that is the official begining =)
I thought Halloween also, just because at the end when he's on her bed and they're kissing.
She says her mom is out of town all that stuff.
I also remember watching Halloween and saying "Frig, when did this happen?" Angel being in her bedroom on her bed and Joyce not home lol.
So I guess i'll say Halloween 🙂

Umm actually her mom is out of town in the ep. What's My Line Part I. =)
Lol at the coffee thing. True true. Thanks for the answers everyone, after watching a lot of season 2 (skipped Reptile Boy because that's one that I really disliked my first time around), I think it would be Halloween as well. I loved the end, they were so chummy and cute.
