A Buffy movie without Nicholas as Xander?

If a Buffy movie did ever happen but Nicholas didn't appear as Xander but they got his twin brother Kelly Donovan to appear as Xander, would you be okay with it? Considering Kelly played Xander in "Intervention".

I think I'd prefer it if Xander was written out of the movie. Yes, Kelly is his twin but they're not the same person... so I doubt he'd be able to 'be' Xander. And I thought the amount of acting Kelly did in "Intervention" was highly overexaggerated? I.e. that Nicky acted and Kelly was mostly there to be his double when they stood next to each other...
 
First off, if a new "Buffy" movie were to be made, whether or not Joss would be involved in any way, I wouldn't want any of the original cast involved. If, however, we absolutely had to stay with the original cast, and Nicholas for some reason either could not, or would not, reprise his role, I would say that there should be a simple statement near the beginning of the movie about Xander being in the jungles of South America, or some other such place, with a team of Slayers, tracking down rumors of some kind of demon infestation.

If the movie is supposed to be made with all the real (now middle aged) cast, bringing in a ringer would be cheating.

I agree with Taake, I'd rather Xander not be in the movie at all if Nicholas Brendon couldn't return. With that being said though, I think all of the main cast should be involved if there was a movie, a TV reboot, etc. It just wouldn't be the same otherwise & we've waited so long at this point that it needs to be perfect!
 
To be frank I don't think any of the old cast will appear in any kind of reboot let alone Nick. All a bit old imo sadly.
 
Its one thing doing a convincing Xander for one episode but doing it for a whole film is different, and as Taake pointed out Kelly played him differently anyway as that was the point of the double storyline. No it has to be Nicholas or no Xander for me too, same with the rest of the main cast.
 
I saw some pictures a while a go and to be honest, as they aged, Kelly seemed to look less and less like Nick anyway. Kelly seemed quite a bit thinner and had a sharper jawline than Nick. Plus his expressions were different, like his smile and so on. Whatever his acting ability, I think people would notice the difference.

But yeah I'd rather he just wasn't in it. But at this point, rebooting is probably the only viable option anyway.
