Any other Buffy fans into a cappella music? Shows like the Sing-Off and the rise in popularity of college a cappella (ac) have made it a bit more mainstream. I LOVE ac, especially college ac, I am in a group at my university and it is so much fun! In fact, I am arranging the Buffy theme right now! ;P

I like it a lot too! It's amazing how it can really sound like instruments are being used sometimes!

(ignoring that the voice is, of course, an instrument)

Your mentioning that the vice is an instrument just made my day. I have to convince people of that crazy often! Good to know someone agrees with me!

I only went to one college 🙂 so I'm no expert, but at my college a cappella singing groups were VERY popular and that was more than thirty years ago. But maybe generally it wasn't popular. Anyway, I love to hear a cappella singing.

I love a capella 😀 Watched last season of Sing off. But being an Yalie wannabe, I tend to cheer for the Whiffenpoofs lol

I love a capella, especially when I'm singing it! We do it all the time in my choir, and I think it contributes to the fun of singing. YOU are all the music. All of it is coming from your group... not a CD, not a piano, but you. It's a little more of a rush than normal, and it sounds kind of cool. You have more freedom in a capella... you can change tempo or style quickly and easily. The other advanced group at my school (mixed ensemble) did an a cappella "Man In The Mirror" for our first performance, and it was crazy good.
