Today I have decided to end my site's charity for helping the Chilean people recover from their earthquake a couple of months ago. We had a bit of a fundraiser, so to speak, well, for every 100 non-spam posts that a single member makes, we donated $1 to aiding the citizens of (and around) Santiago, Chile. Santiago was struck by an earthquake that was far greater than the one that hit Haiti even.

This charity was not only done to drive activity. One of my site's global moderators, Yuuki, lives in Santiago, Chile, and she helped coordinate (not to mention she inspired me to do the post to save lives thing for Chile) the charity. Perhaps you should do something like this here? Every time a member makes 100 posts, you donate $1 to help people in Chile or Haiti or wherever. Just an idea, make of it what you will.

Anything like this would have to be Organised by the site admins, but we have done charity work before. We have a Buffy-Boards Store and we dontated the proceeds to the Jason A. Fedele Memorial Scholarship, as it was around the time Andy Hallet (Lorne from Angel) passed away, and it was a charity he believed in.

Admin can send $26.67 to me directly instead of someone in Chile if they would prefer..
