Hi!

I was wondering if there was anyone here who could help me with the answers to the following questions:
In the entire series, how many times does Buffy die?
Who were the succesors (names of the actors and the characters)?
How did she die and who killed her all those times?

Thanks!

She died in Prophecy Girl. Last episode of Season 1. Killed by The Master. Her succesor was Kendra (Bianca Lawson)
She died again in The Gift. Last episode of Season 5. Jumped off a tower to save her sister. No succesor as line went through Faith by then.

Now depending on how you look at it, she died in Nightmares in Season ! because it was Giles nightmare. Presumably was killed by The Master.
And again in The Wish. Season 3. Alternate reality. The Master broke her neck.

When Kendra was killed in Season 2, her succesor was Faith (Eliza Dushku)

Does this help?

That's a great step forward yes ^_^
The first time, when she was killed by the master, she drowned right?

Kendra was killed by Drusilla and was played by Bianca Lawson.

Also technically all the potentials that were activated in chosen are buffy's succesors! lol.

Buffy also, technically, died in S6, when she was shot by Warren. At the hospital, she flat lined for a few seconds before Willow pulled the bullet out of her, and her heart restarted. But, as said above, the Chsoen line now went through Faith, so there was no sucessor.
hope this helps you! 😀

Lol. There are different opinions about whether or not the line went through Buffy in season 6 though 😉 In season 5 it definitely went through Faith, but some people are of the opinion that when Buffy was resurrected the line went back to her (seeing as in s7, we hear many times that the line goes through Buffy).

(If you're interested in this, just do a board search for "slayer line" and you'll find many interesting threads on this topic 😉 )

Actually that raises a question doesnt it.
Buffy died in season 1.....this was the briefest of moments yet caused Kendras activation......so IF Buffy was the Slayer in season 6 again.....why wasn't another Slayer activated after she flat-lined?
I mean if she was the Slayer then that means she must have had the line passing through her and the line then moves on after.
Now either, she didn't have the Slayer line pass through.
or
She did but when she died, it transferred back to Faith which then basically says there is a design for the line.
or
There is an Active Slayer out there we don't know about.

Either way, by the time the First comes, Buffy isn't the Last Slayer in the line, she can't be.

my brain hurts :(
I'll go and watch the episode again but my memory is telling me that the machine flatlined because willow was all powerful. werent lights going out and stuff. I thought she was just messing up the electrical equipment because of her power.

Thats what I remember, I may be wrong.

Thats what I thought too.
^ That's what I used to think, but people here at BB have half conviced me otherwise. It's a complicated question and in my opinion there is no explanation that really makes sense.
