Ok, first, first Volume 1 was badass. Totally worth it.
2: What is collected in the First Night Hardcover collection? Issues 6, 7, and 8, right?
3: What will be in the third volume? How many issues?
4: Volume 3 comes out in March, and Spike: ATF comes out February, right?
5: My local book store has Issue 14. Would it be wise to obtain that, so after I get Volume 3 I won't have towait til Volume 4, or what?
6: Should I just forget about it and find every issue after Volume 2 on Ebay. (Yes, it will cost considerably more too)

Thanks! 🙂

2: Yes, First Night collects issues 6, 7, and 8.
3: Unknown, but I'd assume issues 9-12 or 9-13.
4: There is no release date set for AAtF Vol. 3 but SAtF comes out February 25.
5: It is a tactic, but if Vol. 3 will collect issues 9-12, you'll miss #13, although you could Ebay that, when it turns out Vol. 3 doesn't contain #12.
6: As you suggest Ebaying all of it, is a costly affair. If you can't bear the wait, it's your way to go. If you can stand it, you could just collected Vol. 3 and the other issues.

I'm pretty sure the 3rd vol. is issues #9-17. Then the Aftermath which is five or six issues long.

Vol. 1 #1-5 (After the Fall vol.1)
Vol. 2 #6-8 (First Night)
Vol. 3 #9-17 (After the Fall vol.2)
Vol. 4 #18-23 (Aftermath)

The series was supposed to be 22 issues long(like a season), but First Night was long than they thought, gaving us 23 issues total.

They never intended to make Aftermath, that was added later. Originally the series was supposed to be 12 to 14 issues.

And Vol. 3 of AAtF collecting 8 issues would make it very thick, but also expensive, I think they'd rather opt for two releases.

Allycat, there nothing to prove your case. They just released news about Aftermath recently, doesn't means they didn't plan for it.

Also, Vol 3 of AAtF is 9 issues long not 8 (#9-17). And it doesn't matter how thick the book is, Ultimate Spider-Man: The Clone Saga was 9 issues long. They made that into a book.

True, it's only one theory, we'll have to see which one is right 😉 In the meantime, I haven't seen any proof from you either.

Ok I think Allycat's right. Why would they have a TPB with 9 issues? Has Joss ever done that before?

So... There are only 23 issues being made? If that's the case, I'm totally just buying the collected issues. Especially if VGB is right about Vol. 3.
