A Few Questions About Eppy "Five by Five"

My first question has to do with the gypsy girl we see Darla bring Angel. This episode seems to make it clear that Angel is resouled as a direct consequence of killing the girl. However, I thought that we found out in BtVS that the gypsy girl was Drusilla. Angel told Buffy that his worst crime was torturing a gypsy girl to insanity before she ran away to become a nun. We subsequently see Angel taunting a somewhat insane Dru in a confessional. We also know Angel sired Dru. Am I missing something?

Also...Angel kept the Irish accent for 140 years. What made him change to American? Its not as if an Irish accent would attract too much attention in America.

Just so you know, I have only seen AtS up to Five by Five and I have only seen BtVS in order up until Where the Wild Things Are at the end of Season four (although I have seen most of seasons 5, 6, and 7 before). If anythng is explained in AtS, don't spoil it please! I just want to know if I have completely misinterpereted the whole Dru thing!

the gypy girl Angel was punished for killing was NOT Drusilla. the girl Angel talks about driving insane and forcing to join a convent WAS Drusilla. he tells Buffy that that was the worst thing he did as a vampire. but that wasn't why he was re-ensouled.

the girl we see him kill in 'Five by Five' was a gyspy girl, the favorite daughter of the Kalderash, Romani Gyspies. his punishement for killing her was the clan elders to give him back his soul, forcing him to live forever while remembering the awful things that he did.

Angelus killed and Sired Drusilla at least 30 years before he got his soul back. we know this because Angel was re-ensouled at the turn of the centruy, around 1900, and Drusilla killed and Sired Spike in 1880, obviously meaning she would have to have been Sired sometime before 1880.
