For some time now I've noticed that I almost completely lost interest in either BtVS or Ats..I mean really lost it..haven't watched even one ep in the past month or so....not obsessed bout DB anymore..not even slightly annoyed when I see that JM was better than DB or something...

I want to get back to my obsessivness, any ideas how to do it??

P.S. it's really bad..not responding to half naked DB pics :rolleyes0

I know how you feel. My Buffy obsession has been waning for quite sometime now.

Although the SMG obsession is still a go due to the Grudge. But not as much as it used to be. TEAR

But as to get back into the Buffy mood, I say Buffy marathon. Write some fic. Debate about your favorite things.

Wonder if FX is playing a Buffy Halloween marathon, because that's the perfect way to jump start your Buffy obsession.

I think everyone on the board is in the same boat (maybe minus the DB obsessiveness). If you look at the threads that are the most used there seem to be far less involving BTVS and ATS than before. Hopefully when BTVS S.7 gets released here (in NA) on Nov. 16 things will go backto normal obsessive levels.

A while back my interest lacked quite a lot. And then one day while doing my ironing I put on my season 2 boxset and it was like I had never left. Ended up watching all my tapes in succession until they ran out. Even characters I didn't like before I like now.

The same thing happened to me about a year ago. I lost total interset in Buffy for about 2 months then turned on the tv put my vids and dvds and have never looked back since.
But I think it's kinda hard to keep up with our obsessions now that the show has been gone for 1 and 1/2 years.

It feels different when you go back to it, I mean I used to watch my tapes every day, so after taking a break I went back to it fresh and appreciated it more.

For me, whenever I start from the begining, all the back to WTTH, there's something so fresh and new about it still. You should sit down and spend some quality time with Season One.

PS. Nice to see you around ana, as I haven't in a while

Same thing happened to me a couple months ago.

Wasn't really finding time or interested.... and then I got "The Watcher Guide, vol2" and I then became obsessed with season four all over again.

Welcome back ana8 - how is the job going? How's Akasha? She hasn't been on in a while...

I agree about the Buff-a-thon. Sky One are showing all the Buffys at the moment in order. We're at about S5/S6 at the moment. Mrs P is taping them religiously every day as she missed a few the first couple of times round and I watch the occasional one with her. I get surprised at how good they are...but I guess we all knew that🙂

I have a ritual of watching an eppie before I go to bed everynight. Sometimes I go to sleep 10 minutes through, but still, I get a bit of a Buffy fix to keep me going. And I've yet to see a lot of BTVS S7 and ATS S5 eppies so I'm going to be extra excited to get those DVDs.

That was kinda happening to me for a while...so I decided to have a Buffy marathon...it did work...but for some reason it still felt different, I guess cause there's no more new episodes...and now it's just reruns for...well...ever

I go through phases, though my current riff has lasted far longer than before, and honest to God, I never used to be quite so pro-Faith.

Try watching the eps in different ways. Season by season is good, because by the time you've finished one the others are fresh again. Theme 'em - watch all the "gimmick" episodes ,(Hush, Earshot, OMWF) all the funniest, (The Zeppo, Bewitched, A New Man etc...) or if you're a real masochist, the most dramatically stunning (Innocence, Becoming, The Body) You could follow a particular character through their finest episodes. You could watch them with commentaries if possible. (The Body's commentary should be required reading for everybody, by the way) I recently went on a binge of watching all the episodes I recalled hating, because the good moments shine that little bit brighter in horrible episodes you haven't seen for ages. Or, try the old fave, the drinking game...

But I find digging out episode reviews (Either on the net, or in independent magazines) is usually what sends me spiralling off, because they give you a fresh perspective on stuff you've already seen...

Kindred-nice to see you here too
Mr.Pointy- I'm back to Poland already and haven't heard anything from Akasha in some time(long story...)

Hmm..I might try it..but the problem is I don't WANT to watch any eps..I tried yesterday and got bored after 5 mins of 'Surprise'....dunno maybe I'm just too grown up for this??

I have noticed this too but tried to ignore it.. I joined about two and a half months ago and it's a big difference, even since then.. a lot less talk about the shows. I don't like it at all.. I haven't lost my obsession but I recognise the feeling.. felt that four months ago or something, quite scared the feeling will come back to me. But I usually find new things (in BtVS) to be obsessed with, and then I'm back in the addiction, which is always comforting..

I get what you mean.. i havent watched a btvs or ats in like 2months.. i hardly get the chance to watch it.. i was watching an angel ep a while back and i got bored of it.. i got bored of it.. i mean its my fav show and i turned it of.. im still obessed with david though.. which is a good thing 😀😀

Well good for you Danio coz I have a feeling that even if I saw DB running naked towards me I'd just shut the door...

Whenever I'm feeling less obsessed I have a Buffyfest. I watch lots of episodes that I know I like. It always gets me back on track. Either that or I come here and get involved in discussions about Buffy's hair or something. lol
