Thought it was about time (OK, it's way past time), to give all of the ANGEL fans an enormous shout out/thank you directly from Joss and all of us at Mutant Enemy.

Your kind words, support and efforts (flowers, beanie babies, postcards, mobile billboards, adverts, etc., etc.) in the weeks since the cancellation of ANGEL was announced, have been darn near overwhelming. We really, really appreciate the love.

It goes without saying here at the Bronze Beta, but I also wanted to let you all know that the Buffy/Angel-verse will never die.

While we consider the possibility of Season 6 of ANGEL as remote as the discovery of WMDs in Iraq, Mutant Enemy already has plans for more tales from the world of ANGEL. I can't comment on exactly what form they'll take, but rest assured, it's in the works.

Thanks again to all of the fans, the "Save Angel" organizations, and your efforts taken in our behalf.

Thanks for postin' ... this really is an interesting tidbit. So which ever way Angel will end, there's going to either be some TV-movie or a new spin-off, is that about the rigth conclusion?

And how's about you folks chew on this for a bit......James Marsters has been awfully quiet throughout all of this.......and there isn't a lot on his schedule after the latest tour of his band is up.

Dare I say it....a SPIKE spin-off?

I wonder if they'll revive the idea of a Spike/Faith spin-off particularly if Tru Calling founders on the ratings reef. That would be sweet...though they won't be able to do the Spike as a ghost thing (or would they?)...

So elmo...got any theories about what these secret ME plans might be?

Mr. P.....a SPIKE/FAITH spinoff......sounds good, but how would they make that work? Faith is pretty heavily involved with the Scoobies now.

I am still holding out high hopes for the renewal of the ANGEL series, but if that ultimately fails.....at least there will still be some Jossverse to look forward to.

It's like I was telling Rayne once when we were discussing the cancellation.....the worst thing that can happen when you shoot for the moon, is that you fall amongst the stars.
 
Well, they were talking of a "Ripper" spinoff... but that seems to have fallen through. I don't know! A Spike spinoff would be really good... I'm not gonna say Faith cos I haven't seen "Tru Calling" yet and it might be the best thing since sliced bread! And if it is then I'll certainly want it to keep going!

Whatever happens I want Mutant Enemy to make something new... and brilliant... as only they can do! 🙂
 
Well at least it is a glimmer of hope if Angel doesn't get renewed. The main thing to me is that something from the Buffyverse still exsists. Thats why I was not too bad when Buffy ended because we still had Angel.

A Spike spinoff I think would be great, i'd probably actually prefer that than a Faith spinoff. But as long as we have something thats the main thing.
 
Thanks for postin that it was very interesting to read i wonder when they are gonna say if they've decided on a 6th season or not its giving me butterflies
 
I would love a Spike spin-off...but,let's not jump into conclusions that fast,maybe he was talking about a TV movie like Ally said,...or maybe he just wasnted to make us feel better

A Spike spin-off ehh? Well we all know how I feel about that one🙂 It's nice to have people from ME respond to all our hard work going into this. I like to know that we are appreciated🙂
 
I'm thinking it will be along the line of TV movie. I think that would be absolutely awesome. Since the second season of Angel, it has had a real cinematic look and feel. Not just visually(although I personally think it's the best looking show on television), but in the writing, acting, and every other aspect that a film has. I could imagine what they could pull off if they put more time, and a much more focused effort into a TV movie. I'm sure that we will see more Buffyverse stuff out there, and maybe even another series. But a TV movie would make me tingly too.
 
I'm praying to God that he is talking about a TV movie. All our efforts may not have been able to get a season 6 but they may have convinced The WB to give us a TV movie. That is what I HOPE happens. But it will proberly be just be a few Angel comics that conclude the series (that would be nice but nowhere near as good as seeing the show on TV).

A Spike spin-off seems the most likley right now. That would be cool because he is my third favourite character (after Angel and Wesley). Would be really cool if the show was set in London.
 
About time they give us some feedback! No, just kidding. It's nice of them to let us know that they appreciate all that the fans have been doing for the show. I hope that this new info turns out to be something great. Guess we'll have to just wait and see.
 
Do you guys think that they might make angel a motion picture. Sorry... "Movie!" Well feel free to ream me if i just asked a common stupid question!
 
Nobody's gonna dispute with ya here, Little Tree.....lol.....relax.
The idea of ANGEL flicks is totally plausible......and it just may be what Mutant Enemy is working on......ya never know. 🙂
