According to Sky News, a musical based on both shows is in pre-production. Rumour.

With Buffy The Vampire Slayer finished and spin off Angel also ending look out for a musical based on both of the shows.

Sources told me

"Yes, its in pre-production and we're looking at trying out towards the end of the year."

I personally hope it doesn't happen. "Once more with feeling" was sweet, and isolated. To think that through all the doom and gloom, and death, and darkness that was the sixth season, we had a special little musical, is what made it really great. If we start to add more, and more musicals to the Buffy-verse, then I think it might cheapen Buffy, and that great ep. That...and singing and dancing would just seem tacky the second time around. It's like "oh...people loved it when we had singing, and dancing before...we gotta find a way to do it again".
