I've been thinking about a new film showing Buffy's life currently and a new mission. It would be nice Joss Whedon working on it. Our slayer receives a new mission to save the world (again) and as the movie runs we see characters' lives currently.
So, what do you guys think?

Hahaha, yes, it would be nice. It gets brought up on here at least once every three days or so. Unfortunately however, Joss and the assorted actors appear to have little to no interest in reviving BTVS or AtS beyond the comic medium. At this point the only realistic thing that seems even remotely likely is a reboot with a completely new cast in a few years.

Even though I would like to see a Buffy movie made, and no matter how much I would like that movie to include Joss and as many of the old cast as would be available and willing to make it, I don't see it happening anywhere in the near future. There's a better, though still only slight, chance of a totally new movie, with all new characters, located at some point in the Buffyverse, but, with everything else that Joss has going on right now, I seriously doubt that he would even be involved in something like that beyond the role of Executive Producer.

As much as I regret saying it, I don't think that we're going to see a live action movie or TV show featuring Buffy and her gang for a long, long time.

I can't understand why people keep going for the ''rebooting the whole cast and show of Buffy''. Wouldn't you be more happy to see a Buffy sequel like Faith The Vampire Slayer or Ripper was going to be?

A new cast with new characters, a potential slayer - an actual slayer placed in the future - a relative of buffy - maybe a witch based on the Buffyverse.

Like Joss said regarding ''Once More With Feeling'' everything fits in the Buffyverse. It doesn't have to be mainly about Slayers, Angel had little-to-no reference to Slayers and we still got a very successful show based on that universe.

Why redo what has been already done? Twice mind you...
The first movie didn't go well, therefore Buffy got a second chance and got it right, it had the opportunity to expand a very small universe from the movie to a huge huge! universe (Buffy-Angel-Comics), why not carry it on?

I'd like to see Ripper. Even if Joss could do nothing but be executive producer who consults on storys surely he could find someone else to be show runner. Marti Noxon was show runner on Buffy for several later seasons. David Greenwalt was show runner for most of Angel's run. Surely one of the old Buffyverse crew would be available to go to the UK and produce a such a show with Anthony. If not it can't be too hard to find another experienced producer who loves the Buffyverse and would be willing to go to England (or who already lives there) to produce a show.

I would love to see Eliza play Faith again. As well as JM and DB as Spike and Angel. They could do a movie with the 3 of them and I'd be happy.

I have no interest in a new Buffy movie or reboot. It's over with. The zeitgeist has moved on. I'm sure I'll watch old Buffy episodes now and again for a long time, but I'd rather have something new to stimulate my imagination than something old. I'd rather Whedon's creativity (or anyone else for that matter) be spent on a new idea than on recycling something old.
