I don't think that Oz's anger was totally justified, however it was completely understandable. When he left Willow he lost the right to know everything that goes on in her personal life. That being said, I do think Willow should have mentioned the fact that she had feelings for someone else. She didn't have to give Oz any details about it, but a simple little "There is someone else" would have made it clear to Oz that she had moved on.

Exactly. I never said Willow needed to come out to Oz or anything like that. Just saying "Well, I'm considering someone else. Someone you wouldn't know and who is notoriously private" would've sufficed.

Then, Oz would have tried to be discreet and respectful about it because he's Oz but he wanted Willow back and I can't imagine that he wouldn't have taken "considering someone else" without some level of hope of the two of them getting back together. I really think that Willow getting to the point that she can be completely honest, especially if it only takes a day, is the better move.

Honestly, I'd rather Willow be overwhelmed in her feelings of surprise and complicated emotions of Oz coming back and make the night about their friendship in her joy that he was able to solve his werewolf problem and then come out to Buffy and start considering honest, full disclosure. In short, the episode the way that it happened although it would have been nicer for Oz and Tara if he didn't wolf out (which I reiterate that Willow couldn't have expected). Ironically, Willow seems more authentic in the ep which had her vascillating between her old emotions for Oz and her terror at how to navigate coming out than Willow selectively offering and withholding information to Oz for some unknown purpose. It's much more authentic, especially for Willow who was never a skilled social navigator.

I just read through the thread, and I have to say that even though I do think Willow should have been upfront with Oz that she was seeing someone else, she was in no way obligated to tell him everything. He was the one who left, not her. I realize he was leaving to "protect" her from the wolf in him, and he needed to do some soul searching. But Oz coming back and just assuming that Willow had done nothing but sit around waiting for him was silly. I thought it was messed up, though, for her to talk all night with him and let him lay with her on her bed and stuff, without once thinking it might be giving him the wrong impression that she wanted to get back togethher.
I also think, though, that Willow was deeply confused. She was struggling with her feelings for Tara before Oz even showed up, and to throw him back into the mix didn't help anything. But one thing that has always bugged me about this debate is that Oz shouldn't have asked Xander if Willow was seeing someone new; why didn't he ask Willow herself? Because that would have been too easy I guess. But I honestly don't know if Willow would have told him because at that point, she hadn't even told Buffy and Xander yet.
I guess I can see fault on both sides of this situation, so I don't side with either of them.

I don't take sides either. It's just that while I adore Oz, Willow is always going to be my fave and I particularly feel for her in this ep.

By the by, I also think that a part of her really did want to get back together with him. Hence, the talking all night and him being on her bed. If Tara wasn't there, Willow would have gotten back together with Oz in a second. It's clear that she forgave him for everything, was still attracted and cared a lot about him. It's just that she wanted to be with Tara right now more but even that wasn't a 100 percent clear to her until the end of the ep.

I think that's where the, what some fans will term as, indiscreet conduct comes from. The way that AH plays it is that she tries to stay restrained but she has a pull to him when he's being particularly Oz-like.
