A picture's worth a thousand words

People talk about their favorite moments and describe them etc. But visually, what are your favorite moments. For a long time I said my favorite moment for Once More with Feeling was this:

and people thought I was being a hole of an arse... and while I generally am that hole in question, this truly was probably one of my favorite visual moments of the entire show.

It has such an old hollywood feel to it. How it was shot. The coming together and then the end. Visually it also stands on its own. Apart from show. There something about it that transcends "tv show"... yeah, I get worked up over visuals, sue me. The only thing that would have made it better were it to simply read Fin. I would have just adored that.

So visually what are some of your favorite moments like that (show with pictures if you can)? It could simply be someone's blink-and-you-miss-it expression, or a sight gag (Hush has a ton). What static image does it for you? Everyone talks about scenes and dialogue. I thought this would be a different conversation.

I can't think of any static images offhand, though perhaps I might choose one from where the adults turn into mental teens.

Visually speaking, and holds many isolated moments that I might choose for themselves as well, is the dream Buffy has in season 2 where Dru ends up killing Angel (though it's more haunting as it echoes in Buffy's real life, like Joyce asking Buffy if she's ready, which works in how it's intended, and also with what's coming that neither she nor Joyce know about).

Here is one from Angel though.

Unfortunately the only place I found it cuts off Gunn, But I love this picture, because it really captures what being at a ballet is. I've been to one or two before, and it is seriously incredible. I love how in this scene, everything, everyone is quiet. (Quite literally, in the context of the episope) Time stands still, and Fred is just mesmerized by the dancers. It's like she's the only one in the room. (How it felt when I went, was back before covid) But to Wesley (and Gunn, but Wesley is emphasized more), The only person is he and Fred. Everything else is still. GAH, I just love this episode.


As I said, I have so many more, perhaps I'll come back here and share again another time lol.

I like this moment from "Never Leave Me" so much, I used part of it for my avatar! Anya's glee, Andrew's comedic terror, and Xander's "woe is me" face are all great. Also good is Buffy's complete non-reaction shrug to this tableau.

Gaaaah, as much as I hated how it ended I too love this ending. It was soooooo gooood.
The fact that it ended the opposite of Buffy, where Buffy's is "We fought the big bad, and we're all together, and we're all free"
Angel's was "The battle is just beginning, everythingnhas fallen apart. Our team has fallen apart. But we still stand to fight another day".
