What keeps you coming back for more?

I come back because I enjoy the topics discussed, I like the people and I find the debates/discussions interesting and always conducted in a friendly manner. Also, the Bangels have to be kept under control.

Honestly its all the members, and how well the boards are kept thanks to the wonderful hard working staff, and i love all the debates....

I've been here for just over 7 years and i'll keep comming back till the day BB closes, Sadly i cant be on as much as i used to be but Still when i do the boards always brightens up my day 😀

I've found it hard to find a community that is so well established but still welcomes newbies with open arms. I've been flamed in welcome threads before!

Its all about the people for me, i've met some great friends and since I have been back recently i've got to know a lot of new members as well.

I love coming here and finding new things to discuss and seeing other peoples take on things. I love finding out things I didn't know, even about a show that's been gone for 5 years, lol.

But the biggest reason I keep coming back is the people. I've made some amazing friends on here, and a special few who I hope I'll keep with me forever. (You guys know who you are. 😉)

This place i such an awesome community, no one's afraid to talk to anyone else, or voice an opinion for fear of being shot down.

BB is by far the best Buffy fourms I have ever visited, and I'm certaintly not planning on going anywhere for a long time, lol.

I've been here a year so I can hardly call myself one of the older members but it is without question the community that keeps me coming back. I haven't come across anything else even remotely like it anywhere else on the net. Also the staff, they are an amazing bunch of people to work with.

No, but seriously it's pretty much the same as with everyone else around here. The people (for the most part) are great....and this is quite possibly one of the more civilized fan sites on the net.

Want a comparison? Try and have a nice, rational discussion on the IMDB Boards. Get the gist? 😛

BB wins hands down any day of the week.

This is the most well-run board I've ever been on. I love the lively discussions, the nit-picking every detail and nuance in every second of Buffy or Angel and you can't beat the great PEOPLE who post here. There's no place like Plrtz Glrb, is there?

I do think this is quite a special little place. It's comforting to see some faces that have been here years too, and still come back for more, regardless of what rubbish life throws at you!

Well, I'm relatively new, but I had to get my two cents in anyway. 😉

It is SO RAD to have a place to discuss my favorite shows with people whom are interested in them on the level I am. I can't even say how incredible this is. I had been looking at forums for a while before I found this one, and I'll say, none of them were as great as this one. No one would ever really talk directly to me, everyone had really bad grammer (lol), and no one seemed that nice. Plus, I have yet to find one more active then this one!

I had pretty much given up on the forum thing unill I found this place. This is the only Buffy/Angel forum I post on regularly. I joined the Buffy-Forum, but I must say it has a very different vibe, and I like it here much better 🙂

Everyone here was so welcoming. I love the in-depth discussions we have on here and there are lots of funny people, which I appreciate 😉

I just wanted to say thank you to all the mods that keep this place in check! We love you! I think it's great that we're keeping the Buffy love alive...

And I can't wait to start discussing Dollhouse after it airs!! Yippee!

Again, like others have said, I can hardly call myself an old timer but compared to how long I usually last on boards I'm virtually ancient here! I don't believe I thought last Christmas that I'd still be on here regularly same time the following year.

And it is definitely the people that keep me here. No matter how well Buffy runs this place in her shoe-wielding way, it still would be nothing more than just another board...if not for the great people posting on it. I like that I can have discussions about the election of Obama one day and whether Tara or Oz is better the next. Discussions are always great, complex and well-argued. As James Marsters said "You have to be a sophisticated person to watch Buffy" and the same can be said of being on here. Great boss, great mods, great people....all help me escape from time to time the place we've all heard of (called the real world). And it's a damn good job you do.

Plus I love the fact we all get one another's subtly geeky Buffyverse references. It's comforting. Haha

No, in all honesty, it's the members and just how evolving the boards are. I've been around since '05 and each time I stop in I can't believe how lucky we are to have such a family dynamic here. Really, we have a solid group of great individuals here that just make you feel so welcomed and really make you WANT to log in and post and see what everyone has to say. And BB is so ever- changing too, it's insane. When I joined there was no shoutbox, no IRC, one page profiles, no "Buffy Boards School of Slayers and Demon Hunters", no dorms, your avatar and info was on the TOP of your posts, no karma... it was crazy different-- and still awesome!! The features that aren't working are ditched, the ones that are expand, and new stuff is always going on. I can honestly say I'm never bored when I log on.

BB really is a second "e-home" in a wierd (but not!) kind of way, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You're all awesome people, you are all definitely why I've kept coming back 🙂

Obviously, there's the need to discuss all topics related to the Buffyverse. If it weren't for that common need, I doubt any of us would be here. Then again there are more places than just this board for doing that. It's the pleasant atmosphere and the way people treat each other here that makes this board stand out.

It's just the atmosphere. It started out just as a place originally to talk about season seven when it was airing for me. And then I found that I was making friends and enjoyed talking in threads about all kinds of topics. And then when the board gets hacked and you can't get on for days and days, and you feel sad, you know that there's just something about this place! 🙂

Obviously I haven't been that great at coming back the last year or so. And sometimes I feel like I should find a new "home" online, just because I don't really watch BtVS that much anymore and hardly ever write in the BtVS-related trheads on the boards. But, there is a reason that whenever I have the time/urge to be online, I return here.

For me I think it's mainly my history. I'm sentimental like that. I've met many close friends here (like I've mentioned many times), I've met two previous girlfriends on BB (!), I used to be a mod for quite a while, and also: times when I've been really down, BB has been a place where I could always be social without having to venture out into my real world (a world I didn't like much at the times).

My closest friends aren't at BB much anymore, which is sad, but there are a lot of other people here that I know at least a bit, and the newbies these days actually don't annoy me as much as newbies used to do a few years ago 😀

Well, i joined because i was in the midst of an intense Buffy obsession.

But i stay, mostly, because of you guys. So many members I can't even begin to list everyone for fear I might miss someone.

Not to mention I don't wanna miss a thing! cause even when I dream of you......Oh! you're still here?! oh, right, my list isn't done!

Obviously, the IRC. I feel like I've got to know so many amazing people by logging into there daily

Well, actually I spend 2 hours every night on BB and in IRC...boy, that's really sad....

You guys are like family to me and BB is like a home. Its a great escape. I'm addicted to BB and I just love talking to you guys
