K need to decide whether to fork out for the DVDs i got all the videos but they are already getting worn, so is it really worht spendind (counts) around £300 on ebay for um do they have enuff to warrant it or are there only certain series that do. Please help cos its a lot of money.

I'd say keep the videos and save yourself some money. However if you do want to get the DVD's request them for christmas presents or birthday gifts.

Hmmm you could also think of CD's you'll have to collect them yourselfs, but that's really cool! I do it, it's kinda my lifes work. I allready have 52 CD's full of eps and I own almost all ... but I still miss working "Judgement" "Dear Boy" and "that Old Gang of Mine" so if you have em PM me. Now this my dearest catdog, will cost you less and will give you the oppurtunity to copy them! (not that you are goning to, since that's not quite legal)

I'd say buy the DVD's.. they won't wear out, and you get some pretty cool extras that you won't get on the video.. plus, it's a lot easier to get to a favourite episode on a DVD than fast forwarding through a tape to get to it. They are expensive, but you can get some real bargains. I got Buffy s2 for under £60.00.

I say get the dvd's. They are not that expensive. I got both season 1 & 2 for under 100 dollars. I love em. Don't have to search for the tape. Don't have to rewind or fast forward. Plus, there's the extra's on them. They are much cheaper than other DVD sets. I bought season 1-4 of The X-Files and all of them were 150 dollars each. So, I can't complain.

it's really up to you 🙂 but if i were you i'd buy the dvds, they've got a better picture and special features 🙂

I have every Buffy box set on VHS but if I were you and mine was wearing out I would get the DVD's but like Faith said, request them for your birthday or Christmas.

Did you buy the videos, or record them from tv?

I would get the dvds for two reasons: (The first one applies only if you recorded them) FX, at least (I don't know about other stations that syndicate Buffy) cuts lines out of the eps...which is very annoying, because they're usually amall lines but funny and show the depth and style of the show.

Secondly, I personally love commentaries that are on dvds. They give you insight into there characters and writers' thought process, and help you understand the show on a different level. This was my major motivation for getting the dvds...I love stuff like that. (I wish there was more of this on both season 1 and 2....but what's there is neat.)

If you really want the DVD specials, they can be d/loaded from internet. Can't really say out loud which site, can I?
