Except when you get sorted into a house you also get sorted into a position. Watcher, Slayer, Demon Hunter, Vengeance Demon, Vampire, etc. etc. It's a twist 🙂 Something new. New is fun isn't it ? 😀

I like it GateGod good twist on Tru's Idea and it sounds workable possibly.

I know our sorting tome is busy busy busy but.....it could maybe the reaspnsibility of the House perfect? Just a thought.

I think the idea is adding the positions, while keeping the house system, just haveing positions aswell as a house. . Not changing anything that is already in place, just adding something new.

I really don't see the point as to why you'd want these positions. If you want to be appointed "slayer" or "vengeance demon" just change your usertitle. There's no need to revamp the whole houses system.

We'd keep the whole school thing, and the same dorm names, it's just we'd each have our own position in the dorm. The cool school thing would stay the same! 😉

i don't like the idea of 'positions' within the dorms. the dorms are a way for us to connect and chat with our fellow dorm members. i don't want their to be infighting bred because one of us has a higher postion than the others.
i'm really trying to wrap my head around the 'why' of this and i'm sorry but i just can't. the house system is already in place and it rocks. i don't think we should introduce anything that might alter that.

Well we already have an RPG going right now but thats not to say another will not be started. Like I said guys keep the idea's coming but remember this is very much a big IF

plus, the problem with tying this to the RPG is that not all of us are Slayers, watchers, witches, demons or vampires. i mean, we have Gwen, Gunn, Connor, Dawn, Xander and Illyria. they are none of those things.

I think it sounds a lot like our current dorm system. Our dorm system is fun. I mean, it might be fun to put more of a Buffyverse spin to the names used in the dorm system, but that would sort of require a big reorganization effort. But I guess we could call adoptive mamas and papas in the Bad Eggs forum Watchers. That aspect would work. If it is what I think it is and it's mostly about naming things so that they fit with the Buffyverse instead of changing our existing system, it can probably be done by the individual user with usernames and user titles instead of with a big reorganization or a rush to the sorting tome.

Oh... well... don't sign me up for the trivia game then! lol. I seriously didn't pick up on any of that. Now that you mention it, those all make sense. For months, though, I have sat around going, "Hmm... I wonder where they got those names? Must be a Harry Potter reference." Haha!

looks like the idea in general has fallen threw board wide Tru...maybe we can try it in our house...and develop it a bit...kinda define what the idea truly is...what the purpose is...maybe we can make them our house surpurlitive names or something...but I think at this point the general tone of the board is they dont want to change or add to the existing system. Its all good hun...revamp and develop and bring it up in Raiden and see what our house mates think. Ok hun 🙂

This may not really fit in, but did you guys know if you run your cursor over those little green karma blocks in your post, you are given different grades of slayerdom based on how much karma you have?

It's too bad nobody has negative karma. Some of those are pretty funny. 🙂

Yeah, I knew that, but it didn't occur to me until now that that was almost exactly what I was talking about. I guess that just puts my idea down the drain! Lol! Thanks though for pointing that out!
