This takes place a year after the events of the series finale of BtVS as we see what happens when Faith is by herself with the newly found slayers...

A renewal of Faith

The location had changed, but the battle stayed the same. However in this instance, it was not the legendary Buffy Summers in control. This time the new group of slayers had to rely on a little luck and a lot of hope to get them by in the coming battles. But most of all, they had to rely on their Faith...Faith Lehane.

The scene was an old abandoned building on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio. The new slayers and their leader had been moving from structure to structure waiting for just the right place to call home. It had been a short few months since the new crew had made their way across the country from Sunnydale while leaving Buffy behind to be with Dawn.
For some reason, Faith felt most comfortable at this wooden structure, and she would soon find out why it was so important for her and her gang.

It was early morning on a chilly autumn day when Faith was awakened by the sounds of a voice coming from outside of the room she was sleeping. As she opened the door, she was greeted by an elderly woman wearing a long black coat.
"I assume you are...Faith" said the lady as she approached the slayer, "I have been sent to you. My name is Eliza"
Faith was not so sure about this and quickly shut the door, "Right lady", said Faith, "I bet you were. I do not need you"
From outside the room, the lady was heard to say, "According to Mr. Giles you do"
This got Faith's attention. She kept the door closed but talked to the lady on the other side.
"How do you know Giles?"
"The lady responded, "He's my leader. My boss as you young folks would say"
Faith looked behind her inside the room and saw the other girls still sleeping. She quietly stepped out and began to talk to this older lady.
"Are you a watcher?" said Faith in a serious tone. The lady chuckled at that remark.
"Oh, goodness no! That's an outdated practice. Besides, Mr Giles figured you would ask that right away"
Faith had a bit of suspicion on her face, "So...if you're not a watcher, what are you?"
The lady took a deep breath and whispered in Faith's ear, "I'm you"

OK, well its a bit short, so i can't exactly say wether i like it or not yet, however its...intriguing so far.
Having said that, i hope to the sweet lord Jesus that the fact the old woman who 'is her' is called Eliza doesnt mean you're doing Faith the Last Action Heroine...if you get me😉(those who Don't-Arnie Movie, Kid gets free cinema pass allows him to enter movies, ultimately leading to a scene with The Arnie character meeting...Arnie!!!)
Secondly, and please don't think i'm being nasty or picky, but i find the title a little lacking. Its not that i don't understand what it seems to imply, i just think its.....clunky for a title.
I also feel Faith needs a bit of work. She doesnt quite hit the notes of the girl we know...For instance
Faith was not so sure about this and quickly shut the door, "Right lady", said Faith, "I bet you were. I do not need you"
This feels wrong. For a start, Faith saying, 'I do not need you'.....its hardly in context of rough street girl speaking so, eloquently.
I don't wanna say any more cause i don't want you to get the wrong idea, that i'm bashing your fic, i just think there are things that need to be addressed, and hopefully, when enough is written, i can say i like it🙂

like DDLM said above me, this is too short for me to actually decide whether or not i like it. so i'd be interested in reading more.
i don't understand this line...
It had been a short few months since the new crew had made their way across the country from Sunnydale while leaving Buffy behind to be with Dawn.
leaving Buffy to be with Dawn where? it's making me think that something happened 'off camera' as if were, that we, as readers, are not privvy to.
i don't like the fact that you called the lady 'Eliza' it's too close.
but i'm willing to let it pass until i can read more and make a better judgement.
