ive been playing around a lot with walls and banners and tutorials lately. trying to get myself closer to the level of the many BBers who have not been making art as long, but yet have surpassed me 'cause i make art sporadically, and even when i practice continuously, still just cant get it 🙂. i figured that it might be fun to make an art thread where i could show it off (or leave it to be ridiculed; no tomato throwing please 😛). and maybe some of you top notch artists can give me advice? 😀

now for the good, the bad, and the oh my god, what the hell kind of ugly is that? :silly: -

Love the wallpapers. Next you shoudl the rest of the cast...would make a great set. Can't wait to see more!

yay! new arty goodness! 😀 they're pretty much all continuing practice with that tutorial. be warned, thats probably most of what ill do until they all actually come out brilliantly and professionally 🙂. and actually, i think i did worse on these than the first ones! arent you supposed to improve with practice, hehe? 😛

I really like the Willow wallpaper and the Spuffy one! I'm completely artisctically challenged... I tried making these type of things for like a week and gave up so kudos to you for keeping it up, you are doing great and you'll only get more awesome from the looks of it 🙂
 
Great start! I like the Willow wall and the Jonathan banner the best. I don't really have a lot of criticism or advice except that I agree with NC fan that you could make a great set if you did each character or maybe a wall/banner/avatar set for your favorite ones.
 
i actually became so particularly fond of the willow/oz one that its my desktop now 🙂.

here's just one more, but sort of with two versions. i wasnt sure which looked better. what do you guys think?

I like the first one better. I like being able to see the colour of their hair, it's a nice effect. In the second one they kinda look like ghosts..

Go Cander! What a shame they never got back together later in the series! Cordy could go "Why Xander, you've gained like 50 pounds" and he could go "Why Cordy, what on earth made you think blonde was your color?" It would be beautiful...
