A Spike TV show?

Ok, i know this is only dreaming... but i found this masterpiece on wandering YouTube...

It just got me thinking how awesome a Spike TV show would actually be... the way the video author has done the video and the cast chosen are absolutely perfect. I could actually see a series like that really taking off...

What do you all think? Would a Spike TV series be worth watching?

That looks awesome! But sadly, it will never happen now. JM is too old to play the part. 🙁

Well, that too. But, do you seriously think that if Joss had the time and the financial backing for it, that JM could play the character? He'd probably be in his 50's by then!

And he said he would ony do Spike for 7 years after Angel ended... that 7 years is almost up.
At a Convention in London last Halloween, James said that he would still be willing to play Spike, but only if Joss was behind the project, and he script was good, which, because it was Joss, he knew it would be.

As mentioned, James' age is an issue, so I would think, if this project was to ever get off the ground, that we'd be looking at a TV movie rather than a series.

oh come on, Kennedy isn't that bad...

I mean, she's basically Faith lite, but with less attitude and a more spoiled brat style lol but she could be an interesting character if written well

I hate Spike in ATS season 5 but frankly, I'd watch this for the supporting cast LOL. Alyson, Eliza and D.B? Yes please! We'd see Spike vs. Wood which I actually didn't hate! Faith vs. Kennedy would be great and Willow is just amazing. I think the main problem with this is that what would happen is that Willow and Faith would upstage Spike and that'd become a problem.
 
I enjoyed watching the vid. In regard to the age debate it really wouldn't bother me. Ok so James might look a bit old, i'd get over it just to see a Spike series actually happen.
 
I would totally watch a Spike TV show! 😀 The age thing wouldn't bother me either. As long as the writing's good, I'll be happy. I also really like the casting choices in the vid too, even with Kennedy because I think Faith would keep her in line. 😉
 
I just saw James recently in his second "Hawaii Five O" appearance, and he could play Spike right now just as well as he did in any season of "Buffy" or "Angel." I'm not saying that his age wouldn't become a factor if the show were to run for more than 4 or 5 years, but, frankly, with Joss' track record with the networks, that sort of problem would probably never have to be dealt with. Even better, his aging might even become part of the show if Spike were somehow to have been made mortal, though obviously retaining his vampiric powers, at the beginning, or even before, the series premier)

It's all an exercise in futility mixed with simple wishful thinking, however. If it hasn't happened yet, it almost certainly isn't going to happen anytime soon. If a new live action show ever DOES happen, it will almost certainly take a page out of "Star Trek's" book and be a "Next Generation" show with a completely new cast.
 
Those credits rocked. I like that cast, ok ... we may well not all be fans of Kennedy but within that group she wouldn't suck. Plus, she would be outshone by the rest of the cast!!!
 
Like it! I really wish it was true. A girl can dream... a very good Spike dream....
I don't like the fact that Kennedy is on it though. She'll get under Spike's skin or something.
I love the part where his eyes turn red!

Kennedy was a little random to me then I saw Willow I was like oh maybe they added her for that reason.
Hell ya I would watch, my most favorite character in the Buffyverse. I loved the complexities of the charachter so there could be real depth there, his realtionships are also complex, Dru etc. But realistically would this happen. The age thing doesn't bother me Angel aged in Angel and we still watched
 
First off I would watch anything with Spike. I think like a lot of people his age might get in the way he actually to me really lately looks like he is starting to age so if they were to ever do it they need to start it quick.
