Okay, since we now have a current Buffy Season going again, and the promise of Angel on the horizon, can somebody please clear something up for me? When does it become safe to talk about the contents of the individual issues without it being considered a spoiler? When Issue 6 comes out, is it safe to speak openly about the contents of Issue 5? I don't know how to do that invisible writing thing, and I don't want to ruin anyone else's fun. (I'm just dying to talk about that naked guy in Buffy's closet, though, so I need an answer pretty soon)
Thanks for the topic White Avenger. I've been thinking maybe I should post one, but then I thought, well if nobody else is having a problem, why create one.
Here's the problem though. During the TV run it was all organized. There was a pre-discussion thread. This was non-spoiler. Once the show aired there was a discussion topic. It was assumed if you clicked it you knew there would be discussion of the show inside. The ep aired later in the UK, so the UK had their own thread. They didn't go into the NA one unless they wanted to be spoiled. The network would offer teasers of upcoming episodes, and from time to time news such as so and so will be appearing in an upcoming ep. These weren't really considered spoilers. Spoilers came from spoiler sites which would include sites with inside info like Ain'titcool.
OK, so now you have the comic, and things are different. Spoilers are coming from all directions and the line between teaser and spoiler is fuzzier. There's previews of covers, and variant covers, 6 page previews, promos from Dark Horse and convention panels, descriptions of later events in the letters to the editor. We can still do the pre-discussion, non-spoiler thing, but now there's all this new info, and we're not really sure whether, it's a spoiler, a teaser, or a promo, and everyone has all this new, other info that's floating around with the same fuzzy line between outright spoiler, and maybe not. Then there's the discussion thread. The comic comes out, and some get it the first day from the comic store. Some can't get there right away so it's a few days. Others are pre-ordering, and you never know when they're going to get it. Issue 7 could be coming out, and they still haven't got Issue 6.
So what to do...what to do.

Here's how you post a spoiler tag. [spoiler*]The stuff you want to spoil[/spoiler*].
Except you take out the asterisks so it looks like this
The stuff you want to spoil
.
The problem with spoiler tags is you don't want a whole thread that's nothing, but black tags, so sometimes it's better to just offer a warning of * Spoilers * in the title of the thread.
You have to look real close, but I swear that I saw this pale blond guy dressed all in black with a long leather coat lurking in there somewhere (how can a naked man be dressed all in black, you ask. well, maybe I lied just a little bit about that naked part...)
